Any breaking of the skin always carries a risk of infection, and even if the procedure is done in the most hygienic manner possible, an infection can still occur from inappropriate care afterwards. ... *Hormones are altered when you are pregnant. Some women have hormonal fluctuations while they are pregnant. It can cause the body to reject the pigment of a permanent makeup tattoo. Once the body has returned to normal hormonal levels, the body will generally accept the ink better. Hormone alterations cause the skin colour to change. Some pregnant women experience discolouration or hyperpigmentation. Once the baby is born, the hormone levels back to normal, the colour was used when the women were on pregnancy may not suitable for the normal skin tone. * Some chemical might not be safe for the baby. Comfort creams are usually applied to the area before or during the procedure. The skin absorbs these medications, and they make their way into the bloodstream, which would affect the baby. These types of medication could be harmful babies. * Facial tissue change. While pregnant, some womens facial tissue stretches due to increased fluid retention or swelling. If a permanent makeup tattoo were applied during this time, they may look different after the pregnancy. Those reasons above can explain why women on pregnancy or breastfeeding shouldnt have the treatment.
