09.01.2022 Great to join Eleni Petinos MP, Lee Evans MP, Sutherland Shire Council Mayor Steve Simpson and volunteers from council’s animal shelter to launch a campaign to encourage prospective pet owners to ‘adopt not shop’ for their new furry friend this Christmas. This message is particularly relevant this festive season given the COVID-19 pandemic, with a large spike in new pets and additional pressure on our pounds. To support our council run pounds, the NSW Government has commi...tted almost $6 million from the Companion Animals Fund this financial year, with more than $30 million provided in the past five years alone. 07.01.2022 It was a pleasure to meet with Bayside Council Mayor Clr Joe Awada and General Manager Meredith Wallace to discuss the Council’s strong financial performance. As a newly formed Council in 2016, the Mayor and General Manager have been working hard to balance the books. For three of the past four years, the council has reported surplus net operating results and surplus results before capital. The council’s employee costs have also remained stable for the three full years re...porting of its operations. While the council was granted extensions to lodge its financial statements for the first three years, it has submitted its 2019-20 statements within the legislative timeframe. The 2019-20 statements were issued with an unqualified audit report a significant achievement. A success story worth celebrating!

01.01.2022 The proposed Milton Ulladulla by-pass route is unacceptable! I will be joining with residents of Burrill Lake on Sunday 13 December 2020 at 10am at Lions Park to support their calls for a better highway. Together we will send a strong message that the preferred route must be changed to protect Burrill Lake and deliver the highway we deserve!
