25.01.2022 Shelley parkrun Event number 178 15th February 2020 This week 199 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers (welcome & look forward to seeing you again) and 40 recorded new Personal Bests (congratulations; that was a "hot" run). Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.... 24.01.2022 Thank you to the A team of volunteers that gave up their morning to make our little community event such a success. You guys are such fine gentlemen.Thank you. (Nice PB too Jack!) ... This week 162 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 22 were first timers (WELCOME) and 31 recorded new Personal Bests (KUDOS to you!) Results should be winging themselves to your inboxes shortly. Shelley parkrun started on 29th October 2016. Since then 3,634 participants have completed 22,870 parkruns covering a total distance of 114,350 km, including 3,855 new Personal Bests. A total of 347 individuals have volunteered 1,464 times. 24.01.2022 Only two more sleeps until parkrun! And whilst the government may be asking us to avoid handshakes, hi-5's and hugs...a free timed 5km event full of smiles and encouragement is still on offer. This week's parkrun falls on the eve of International Woman's Day. Wear purple, wear a tutu, bring your girlfriends... but more importantly... be there! The event will be made possible by a female roster - thank you ladies. See you at 07.50.

Whilst there were no hi-5's (Coronavirus precautions) there was so much comradery well done to the 198 of you for getting out of bed and coming down to the beautiful Shelley Foreshore to be part of it. Thanks for getting in the spirit of #IWD great to see so much purple in the crowds today. To the 22 first timers WELCOME! We hope to see you again soon. ... 21.01.2022 A massive shout out to our wonderful volunteers and sponsors for making our little event happen! We've got an awesome culture of encouragement at Shelley and thanks to all our runners and walkers for participating in it. Massive congratulations to our Milestone runners today! For Sam's 10th, Greg's 50th, Madeline's 100th and Quentin's 250th runs! You all rock! This week 219 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 26 were first timers and 22 recorded new PB's and Matt Smith just dipped out on his own 2017 course record of 15:20 by 2 seconds!

Followed by the usual Saturday 8am start on 2nd Jan. ... We are a photographer for Saturday. PLEASE comment below or DM Shelley parkrun to help out. Operating under the COVID framework, we are required to have more volunteers than normal each week. PLEASE put your hand up to help out. 19.01.2022 What a stunning day! Dont forget to upload your 5km walk /run times into your parkrun profile. It doesnt matter when or where you ran, as long as it was 5km and it was done this week. You can submit a max of one activity per day, and it will include your best time. The virtual results table gets finalised each Sunday night. A special mention to Felicity (10), Jess (50) & Melanie (200, unofficially ) for completing your respective milestones. Well done......
