23.01.2022 A very busy weekend with our first Saddle Club finally getting started after two bad weather postponements! The girls all learnt lots about grooming and tacking up their ponies, followed by a fun ridden session getting to know their ponies.. we then had Charlotte’s birthday party, and Qiana’s 9th Bday party sleepover... with riding of course! We are all exhausted.. especially the ponies!! Lots of treats today

16.01.2022 The goats were in on the action at Shells this week.. joining in lessons and saddle club.. I think they secretly like us I was stoked to hear the parents learnt as much as (maybe more than) the girls in our talk about types and purposes if tack, and how to care for it And I have to say I was exceptionally impressed to see all the girls able to pick up and pick out the ponies’ feet without assistance, as well as get on and off without me anywhere near them! Certainly coming on in leaps and bounds

13.01.2022 Beautiful day today for camp.. no wind thankfully! We did plaiting comps, join up, bending, barrells, bareback, a trail and a bit of jumping.. not sure why they were all So tired thanks Abbie and Georgia for ur help! Nice to spend some time with the mums after too

09.01.2022 SCHOOL HOLIDAY CaMPS! Minty and Moonlight are resting up ready for school holidays and CAMP time!! Camps are a fun combination of horsemanship and riding, with lots of very cool activities. Dates for this holidays are:... 29/30 September(beginner/intermediate) 6 & 8 October (beginner/intermediate) Ages 6-12 7th October -inter/adv showjumping clinic and clear round jumping. 45-75cm **9 and up..must have your own horse for showjumping** Check out the website www.shellsridingschool.com or PM for more information or phone 0414505093. 06.01.2022 Expressions of Interest for EA Equiskills/Introductory Horse Management and Riding Course to run in Term 4.. this is an intensive qualification which is the foundation for the EA Coaching qualifications. Open to students aged 12 to adult, this course is a must for anyone looking to pursue a career in the Equestrian Industry, and counts for credits toward RPL for TAFE courses. Also a great foundation for those launching into horse ownership, or for parents who feel they know n...owhere near as much as their kids..All learning and assessments performed in house by qualified EA Level 1coach and SSTA for Equestrian Association of Australia. Course is approximately 16hours long to be carried out over 8 x 2hr sessions. For those looking to fast track their qualifications due to extensive Experience please get in contact as well. 01.01.2022 Last day of camp.. big bunch today and it was a bit hot!! Still lots of fun with chalk drawing the parts of the horse, plaiting, bending, barrels and jumping, bareback riding,jumping on the trampoline and a bit of a go at throwing a rope!! Many thanks to Tamsin, Ella and Stevie for your help.. soo appreciative and I hope u all had fun! Camps for next holidays will be released 3rd week of November.. hope to see you all again!!
