25.01.2022 I was asked to make a little koala for a bub born earlier this year. The koala is smaller then the stuffies that i normally make so i whipped up a bib as a bonus surprise present. I have to admit i quite like making something that i don't have to stuff, as that's the only part of making dollies that i don't love. I have seen photos of baby Katja playing with the koala and it looks like it might be one of her favourite toys. She now has a kangaroo but i'll have to post the ph...otos another time Koala made from a Kreative Kiwi Embroidery design. 25.01.2022 Social distancing means more time to sew. Am i right? Well i at least have more time to post some of my dollies to my page. I am really forgetful about doing that. Today i wanted to show you my Red Riding Hood doll that recently went to Stitched n Framed to wait until she is adopted. She is ever so sweet with her red cape lined with mushrooms and her frilly socks. She also has her very own basket to carry her special treats to Grandma's house.... 21.01.2022 This sweetie pie is a bit special as i was sent two baby outfits, one was used to make dolly's body and the other to make the romper that she is wearing. Her face was also custom designed to resemble the little girl who is going to be dolly's new owner. By the customer's request i also tried out a new way of making her hair with a minky stitched-on fringe but then wool hair at the back. Overall i think she turn out cute. 19.01.2022 One lucky girl has recently retrieved this wool haired dolly for her birthday. This is the 4th one that she has been given. This years request was to include butterflies and some specific black and white shoes. The wings are removable and can be worn on her other dollies. As can all of the clothes included with each one. I also tried something new which was her freckles which i think look pretty cute. 17.01.2022 Well this funny little girl didn't turn out quite as expected. The fabric is a bit olive coloured so that even though she isn't supposed to she looks East Asian. Her head is attached to her body with a doll joint but for some reason it is wobbly. I'm going to keep trying with this pattern until i get it right but i'm glad that this one didn't turn out the best as i love her and get to keep her. I'll put a pic in the comments with her 'sucking' her dummy. It's very cute.... 15.01.2022 Well it's the first day of the school holidays today and it's cold and blowing a gale. So while i am stuck inside it's the perfect time to sew and also post a photo of another recent make. This time i'll show you a wood elf doll i just made for fun. She is not based on any character, i just made her up as i went along. I think she is quite lovely with her removable, headband, boots, cape and skirt. She even has a vial of magic potion attached to her belt. 14.01.2022 This is a special dolly that i made for a little bubba in September. Although she is as tall as my other dress up ones (about 42cm tall), she is a completely new style. She has those long limbs that giver her such an unique look. She also has her own personalised handmade drawstring bag so that she can be carried around in or stored safely. 08.01.2022 I don't know why i am so slack to share photos of these toys as they are made, especially when they are as gosh darn cute as this Scotch Terrier. Made from tartan fabric, soft black minky for the ears with a furry schnoz.. He has button jointed limbs so that he can sit or stand. This fellow went on a wee journey across the seas to Scotland where i hope that he will be loved by all in his new clan. 06.01.2022 Hi, i hope that you all enjoyed your long weekend. I can't believe i have been doing this for nearly four years now and am lucky enough to say that i still love my job. I do however have to put my prices up which i haven't done before. But with the increase in materials i need to be able to make these dollies without losing money. I also never charged for my time but will now have to do that on fully customised dolls. Those are the dolls that i have to design and make a patt...ern for myself. Sometimes it can take two weeks to make a doll. For those of you who have already have a doll on order, your quote will not go up. The new pricing is as follows Animal stuffies eg a crocodile are about 32cm tall $30.00. Doll stuffies eg a toothfairy are about 32cm tall $35.00 Dress up dolls eg a fawn are about 42cm and come with an outfit $40. (These are the dolls/animals with long limbs and removable clothes) Customised dress up dolls eg. A doll that i have to design and make a pattern for $60 Have your doll personalised with a name and D.O.B for $5 extra. Add a length or weight for another $2.50.
