25.01.2022 Hi families due to todays update In regards to COVID-19, management has made the decision to revert back to families dropping off/ picking up children from office until further notice. We understand this adds stress to everyone however we feel it is our best defence to keep everyone safe & healthy. We ask for your support on this & stick to social distancing out the front of the service & be respectful to all staff. Please remember to call the centre 5-10 min before arriving to allow us time to collect your child.



25.01.2022 This week In the kangaroo room the children ah even exploring shapes & colours. We have had a range of experiences for the children to engage in meaningful ways. We are starting to set up an under the sea area as a follow on from childrens interest.

24.01.2022 Koala room have been enjoying playing babies , dressing up & building with blocks. We have been building in our social skills & communication.

24.01.2022 Emu kindy room have been enjoying getting physical during our music & movement classes. We have been following our children’s interest by setting up our Dino experience & sensory sand play. Along with exploring with natural materials. Children have been developing physical skills, relationships, communication skills.

23.01.2022 Platypus room have been investigating textures. Exploring with ice cubes then adding sand. This was a very social time for the children. It was nice to see them chatting about what was happening.

22.01.2022 Public Health Alert Community members on Brisbanes southside are asked to remain alert but not alarmed as Queensland records three new cases of novel cor...onavirus (COVID-19). The first case is a 19-year-old woman who tested positive after travelling interstate last week. She is an employee at Parklands Christian College on Brisbanes southside. Queensland Health is working closely with the school which has temporarily closed until further notice. The second case is a 19-year-old female travel companion. Both cases travelled interstate together last week. It is believed they contracted the virus in Melbourne, Victoria. The third reported case is a known close contact, a 22-year-old woman, who tested positive later today. This individual is an employee of YMCA Chatswood Hills Outside School Hours Care. Queensland Health is working closely with the school and the care centre, both of which have temporarily closed until further notice. 18.01.2022 Gardening with Koala room today. This morning we ventured into our garden the children were very engaged in this experience learning to care for plants. Gardening has many benefits and allows children to learn new skills such as responsibility, reasoning & discovery, cooperation, love of nature & physical activity.

11.01.2022 Kookaburra lindy room have been very busy with a wide range of learning experiences. We have an amazing welcome to country learning environment. Our children have been setting up & selling I e creams from our room shop. We have been creative with our recycled material making some interesting items.

11.01.2022 Platypus room have been busy making fish for their under The sea area, we have been practicing our pre writing skills, participating in groups times.

11.01.2022 Emu room kindy, the children have had input into the environments they would like set up in the room. During group time we share a story , sing songs, talk about the weather & fissure what we will be doing each day. The children have been exploring home corner setting up a cafe, self select activities such as pre writing, construction play, animal play.

11.01.2022 Billy room children have been using sponges for textured painting and colouring our farm animals. We are developing out hand -eye coordination, colour recognition and fine motor skills.

10.01.2022 Wombat toddlers have had an exciting start to the week exploring colours using our light board & colours shape blocks. We have been painting using a variety of items such as brushes & cotton tips. We have been learning to make friendships, communication, hand-eye coordination & develop our independence.

09.01.2022 Emu room kindy. We have had a busy week enjoying our new room set up. Home area & dress up role play has been a big focus the week. Counting, writing, numbers & letters have been out table activities & children choice. Outside we have been engaged in climbing & large block play. The children have been loving music & movement time.

03.01.2022 Kangaroo & Koala pj day party. The children are all warm & snuggled up in their pjs, the children have enjoyed watching Nemo. With table activities for them to engage with such as puzzles, blocks & drawing.

02.01.2022 Miss Karen took the childrens spontaneous camping play and extend upon this by providing them with the opportunity to have a small fire & toast marshmallows. The kindy group engaged in a fire safety video & chat before exploring outside to enjoy this fun learning experience.

02.01.2022 Koala room cooking experience. Our children enjoyed this activity using all their senses touch, smell, taste & sight. The children took turnes measuring, weighing, pouring& mixing. We made chocolate spiders.

01.01.2022 Possum room fun.

01.01.2022 Billy room fun, we have been enjoying the perfect weather & adventuring outside. The children love to play with the sand. Educator provided enough space to children so that children are free to determine their own way to play. We have new child started today, children from simply sitting and feeling the texture of the sand to building and creating games to play, if they can think it, they can do it with sand. Although kids are learning many beneficial skills whilst playing in the sandpit, a child having fun is the most important of them all!
