20.01.2022 Year 7, 8 and 9 students went to UWA's Octagon Theatre to watch 'Bambert's Book of Lost Stories'. Bambert was a reminder of how stories connect us to the world and ultimately, the power of kindness. Through this theatre experience our students widened their understanding of performance spaces, lighting, costumes, props, and puppetry. At the end of the performance, they even got to meet the star himself, Bambert.

The workshop was presented by professional actor and mask maker, Shane McMullan from Into the Mask Theatre. In this highly physical style, students explored movement, stock characters, status and masked performance skills. They particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work with ‘slap sticks’ and stage combat!
