24.01.2022 This SMLE was built up from client supplied parts + a Lothar Walther H profile No1Mk111 barrel. The barrel was fitted, and a rear sight collar bored and fitted,... indexed and pinned. The stock was patched out and bedded in the traditional method. The barrel channel was opened, as well as the guards to accomodate the heavier barrel. Everything was tidied up and blued, the rear sight scale polished, and the timber was chemically washed and reoiled. I usually plug the barrel band hole, and I usually plug it with the same timber as the forend. In this case it looked good dry but darkened a lot with oil. It still looks good and this is how the same plugs look on any HT you look at. Triggers been setup and I test fired it before bluing but I’ll calibrate the sights on the weekend and send it home next week. See more

03.01.2022 Well it’s over for another year and a very successful event it was. Thanks to all the patrons and dealers that attended. We were very lucky to get this event over before the Coronavirus took hold. Normally we set the date immediately for the next event but under the current crisis that is near impossible. Anyway here a a few pictures.
