04.01.2022 Calling artists of the GV Applications now open for Story Lab: How to share your artist story FREE 6-week program... Course includes 4 x half days & 3 x full days Learn from 4 industry experts Showcase your work, skills & brand Connect with audiences through social media channels Applications close Monday 14th December This past year, the COVID-19 crisis has highlighted the need to deliver on the Festival’s mission in a new way by equipping local artists with the tools and knowledge to become ‘social-distance proof’ and showcase their unique work, skills, and brand through digital platforms. In response to the challenges that artists have faced during the pandemic, we have appointed a team of media experts to develop and deliver a training course that will teach a number of local artists how to effectively communicate and engage through online platforms. We are thrilled to announce a series of workshops called ‘Story Lab: How to share your artist story’. The project is supported by a grant through Creative Victoria and aims to provide artists with storytelling skills to develop ideas, a brand voice, and create engaging video content to share with their online audience through their social media channels. A team of four industry experts have been assembled including a creative producer, writer/director, digital marketing specialist and a videographer. The free six-week face-to-face program will run across February and March 2021, assisting artists to reconnect with their audience, discover their own stories and unlock creative thinking. Up to 10 local artists will be chosen to participate. Applications are now open. To submit an EOI go to www.sheppartonfestival.org.au/story-lab/ Applications close Monday 14th December 2020.
