17.01.2022 **OPEN DAY RESCHEDULED** Regrettably we have made the decision to reschedule our Open day that was scheduled for this coming Sunday 26 July, due to the poor weather forecast. We have rescheduled our next Open day to coincide with our Horses Birthday celebration event on Sunday 2 August from 10am 11am.... 14.01.2022 As you may have noticed, Sherwood Little Rides is now a not for profit organisation. You may be wondering what this means for you if you ride with us. We are proud to say that this means we are now officially an organisation run by the community FOR the community and we are able to put the profits of Sherwood Little Rides back into providing opportunities for riders and horse enthusiasts of ALL abilities. It also means that when you book a riding session or school holiday riding camp, you are helping us to support participants who take part in our Horses for Wellness program (which caters for riders with various challenges). It is exciting for us that we can now focus on improving this beautiful open space to create a unique sanctuary in an increasingly urban area, where kids as well as adults can enjoy the simple pleasure of animals.

11.01.2022 COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT Thank you very much to the families who have shown their support for us since opening last year. Unfortunately, we have become aware of one resident's petition against Sherwood Little Rides on the basis that it causes a disruption to, and has a negative impact on, the community. ... This is something we take seriously and are very sad to have heard. We started Sherwood Little Rides in October 2019 with an intention to offer pony rides to local kids. We never could have imagined the extent to which the community would embrace our horses and ponies and are thrilled that families from all over Brisbane want to visit them and learn all that these wonderful animals have to teach us. The recent information we have received has made us evaluate how we can improve what and how we operate. We would like to take this opportunity to reach out to you, our community, to let you know we are always open and willing to receive feedback on any issue or concern you may have. We love being a part of this community. What started as a hobby progressed into a family business and it gives us so much joy to see others interact with our animals. 08.01.2022 To our valued little riders (and their caregivers)... we are very sorry if you had a long wait for a ride this afternoon. We are very grateful that you came to visit and we will do our best to create an open day with minimal wait times next time.
