06.01.2022 Have a great weekend everyone!
06.01.2022 It is likely that there will be an increase in the number of the mosquito Aedes vigilax, commonly called a saltmarsh mosquito, following the high tide on the 16 November and the rainfall on the 23 November. Environmental Health Officers from the Shire would like to advise the community to take extra precautions to protect against mosquitos this weekend. If the westerly winds keep up, mosquitos will hopefully be kept away from the town. ... Mosquitos often find shelter around dense plants and shaded areas. Please take care this weekend especially if you are getting into the garden, heading out fishing, or just getting outside to enjoy the start of the wet season. Cover up with repellent and long loose-fitting clothing, and get rid of anything that may be holding water around your home. More information can be found here - https://www.broome.wa.gov.au//Pu/Mosquito-and-Pest-Control #fightthebite
