05.01.2022 We're waiting until 1 December to crack the Christmas decorations, but until then there's plenty of Christmas inspiration to be found at your Shire of Manjimup libraries Including this selection of books and magazines that hit the shelves of our Walpole Library this week!
03.01.2022 It's NAIDOC Week, which runs from 8 to 15 November 2020, and it's a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. And our Manjimup Library is celebrating with a great new display showcasing First Nations stories, authors and filmmakers. This year's NAIDOC Week theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be' recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC Week 2020 ackn...owledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606 - with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape York Peninsula. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020
