24.01.2022 A year ago today we left Melbourne bound for Townsville. We think you might like to be taken back to 2019 and relive some of those memories.... What do you think?

24.01.2022 Keep an eye on your email...... The first round of acceptances for Shitbox Rally Spring 2021 are going out today! "Seriously one of the best rally routes ever."... GOOD LUCK!

23.01.2022 REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN FOR SPRING 2021! "Seriously one of the best rally routes ever." Mackay to Darwin - October 9th to 15th, 2021... 550 people in teams of 2 will leave Mackay, QLD then, after 7 days of driving 3,342kms on dusty, dirty, mostly unsealed roads with six stopovers in remote locations, they will cross the finish line in Darwinsome cars simply won’t make it. "This route will feature a lot of wild, heavily varied terrain, plenty of bull dust, plenty of river crossings and definitely not for the faint of heart. We will drive up the middle of the Great Dividing Range and a reasonable way up Cape York Peninsula before heading West." Please go to www.shitboxrally.com.au and click on the REGISTER NOW button and follow the prompts. It is important to let you know that unfortunately we can’t accept everyone who registers a team. There just aren’t enough toilets and fuel bowsers, so we need to limit the rally to 250 teams. Good Luck! #shitboxrally #cancercouncil

13.01.2022 The Box Rallies Family couldn’t be prouder of its founder, James Freeman who was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia yesterday for his service to the community through fundraising. The Order of Australia recognises Australians who have demonstrated outstanding service or exceptional achievement. James’ OAM is a great personal honour because his late father John was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to aviation. James started the rally in memory... of his parents who both passed away from Cancer within 12 months of each other. It really is an incredible honour and I am extremely grateful to everyone from the rallies over the years that have supported what we have done and continue to strive towards. said James Box Rallies is a credit to the participants. Everyone is a giver. For someone who came up with this crazy idea and 11 years on, the rallies have raised over $23 million (and counting!) for Cancer research, we really hope you are proud. From all of us James, congratulations.

12.01.2022 We have waited a long time to read this! A big thank you to Driven Women Magazine for writing this story on some of the awesome women who have taken part in Shitbox Rally.

10.01.2022 SHITBOX RALLY SPRING 2020 UPDATE To our awesome family and followers, 1 month ago things were looking really good for us to rally in 2020, but last week we made a very hard, but the correct decision, to postpone the rally for this year until 2021.... Due to border closures, state limitations on group numbers and the health of our rally teams and their families, the remote communities we work with as stopovers and the communities we travel through, this was unfortunately the only outcome. 3 months is the minimum we would need to ensure a well-prepared rally is delivered to all rally teams with most of the pre-organisation already done. Plus, enough time for rally teams to fully prepare for their trip and their Shitbox and conduct remaining fundraising. Therefore we needed a clear path to ensure we could go ahead. As we have seen with the recent COVID outbreaks and the border closures we do not have that clear path. We will soon launch and announce the dates for Shitbox Rally Autumn 2021, then Mystery Box Rally 2021 and Shitbox Rally Spring 2021 in the coming months. The routes will remain the same and all teams that are shown on the website have qualified to transfer to the 2021 rallies. Spots for new teams will be available in all rallies. We thank you for your patience and support for what is a trying and sad time with no rallies at all in 2020. Here’s to 2021! 09.01.2022 Day 5..... the rally left Uluru bound for Oodnadatta Sealed 547km/ Unsealed 210km A total of 757 kms Reliving Shitbox Rally 2019 Autumn
