25.01.2022 "At the end of the test, I had to remove the DVC to ship it back to SD Components in Australia. I re-fitted the stock top cap and Bottomless Token setup, and the difference was immediately noticeable on the first ride. Since then, I’ve been struggling to get the same ‘floaty’ feel that I had with the DVC. I’ve actually gone back to one token, which has reduced the ramp up and has allowed me to get much closer to full travel. That said, the travel now feels (as you’d expect) a lot more linear, with less overall support once you pass the sag point, and that’s noticeable on the faster and bigger stuff. In short, I miss the DVC." - Singletrack World The 2nd generation of the DVC will be available soon exclusively from Shock Therapy. #sdcomponents #dynamicvolumechamber #shocktherapy #suspension #finetuning #DIY
25.01.2022 Many dual suspension MTB owner's simply do not realise that their suspension needs to be serviced, often as frequently as their MTB does. The wear visible on this shaft is the result of too much time passing between services i.e. the shock dries out & the seals wear and the increased friction results in wearing of the internal parts/coatings. This part is not available as a replacement part & so this shock is now cactus and will need to be replaced outright. The service sche...dule can vary from one product to another, but essentially a half-yearly, minor (air can and/or lower leg) service will eliminate this damage from occurring. An annual overhaul of the entire shock or fork, will generally serve to keep your suspension functioning at an optimal level. To book your next suspension service call 07 3090 3664, or email [email protected].

20.01.2022 Introducing the SD Components Dynamic Volume Chamber by Shock Therapy... Designed and made in Australia, the SD Components Dynamic Volume Chamber, or DVC, is a dual chamber air spring cartridge, designed to improve the performance of your fork by giving you more control over the spring curve. Fitting it is as simple as unthreading the old top cap, and threading in the DVC using the laser-cut stainless steel installation tool or a top cap socket.... The DVC isn’t just about providing ease of adjustment it provides more flexibility over the fork’s performance, allowing greater independent control over the beginning and end-stroke. The pressure in the main air chamber (valve 1) dictates the fork’s sag and the performance for the first half of the stroke, the pressure in the second chamber (valve 2) controls the level of mid-stroke support and the bottom-out resistance. Fine tuning the pressures of the two chambers allows you to alter the fork’s feel to suit your riding style or the terrain. The DVC is for riders trying to get the absolute best performance out of their suspension, and the DVC definitely makes this process both easier and more precise. Also, Enduro racers who are looking for the edge and who find themselves faced with constantly changing conditions will certainly favour the adjustability of the DVC. The DVC is available for many contemporary single crown forks, including; DVO Diamond, Fox 34, Fox 36, RockShox Lyrik (Yari) & Pike. The DVC is only available from Shock Therapy. We're currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on the new design, as well as finalising the production, packaging, media & supply details, but we're hopeful of having stock for sale to the public later this month. 14.01.2022 We're now taking pre-orders for the SD Components Gen2 (V2) Dynamic Volume Chamber. Engineered in Australia, the SD Components Dynamic Volume Chamber, or DVC, is a dual chamber air spring cartridge, designed to improve the performance of your fork by giving you more control over the spring curve. Fitting it is as simple as removing the old top cap, and threading in the DVC using the laser-cut stainless steel DVC spanner, or a top cap socket.... The DVC is ideally suited to lightweight and/or aggressive riders trying to get the absolute best performance out of their suspension, and the DVC definitely makes this process both easier and more precise. Also, Enduro racers who are looking for the edge and who find themselves faced with constantly changing conditions will certainly favour the adjustability of the DVC. Our first production run will include DVC's for the Fox 34, Fox 36, & Lyrik* forks. * The Lyrik DVC is compatible with the Yari fork also. The cost per unit remains at the original RRP of $279.95. Freight within Australia is $18 (Express Post satchel). The cost of the DVC Spanner & Bottle Opener is $37.95. 05.01.2022 PRODUCT REVIEW - YARI UP damper kit from FAST SUSPENSION by Adam Campbell *********************************************************************** I recently purchased a Trek Slash and it came spec’d with a Rockshox Yari fork. And although it shares the same chassis and air spring as the Rockshox Lyrik, the Motion Control damper that comes with the Yari is seriously under gunned, especially on a bike like the Slash and when also compared to the performance of the Charger2 damp...Continue reading
