17.01.2022 HUGE shout out to everyone who donated to Shoebox Books and Tax for our involvement in the CEO Sleepout last Thursday. In total we raised $988 which is enough to feed 32 Aussie homeless mouths, provide 8 beds to those in need and set up 3 individual programs. With everything going on right now, this donation will go a long way in making a difference. Thank you! https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fundraise/shoeboxbooksandtax

17.01.2022 Our Senior Tax Accountant/ Money Angel (whatever you prefer to call her )....Nicole has years of experience behind her and genuinely loves to help businesses grow and make smart tax decisions. So here's a little tip she wants to share... "If you hadn't heard...the instant asset write-off threshold was increased from $30,000 to $150,000 and also extended from June 30th to December 31st 2020. This is huge bonus for businesses, especially small businesses!... With times being so uncertain and unknown for businesses in Australia, as restrictions ease, having $150,000 worth of business asset deductions can be massive for your business! My tip? Take advantage of this!" Don't hesitate to contact Nicole or Shoebox Tax to find out more on the instant asset write-off scheme or anything else leading into EOFY!

03.01.2022 There's a lot of chatter around JobKeeper and what will happen after September, when the payments were initially supposed to finish being paid to businesses and their employees. The Prime Minister is set to announce new information about the extension of JobKeeper and JobSeeker very shortly. It is likely the Government will extend the wage subsidy scheme until March 2021 with a reduction in fortnightly payments. The team here at Shoebox Books and Tax will be keeping a keen eye on the changes and legislative updates. Stay tuned!
