20.01.2022 Around the Grounds: Round 7, Day 2 Over the weekend, we saw wins to 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, B1 Day and a hard fought draw for the 5th Graders to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. It's not always the most runs or wickets that shows the sign of a great knock, so play of the day goes to 'Hans' Kristian Anderson for walking in at 2/2 in the 2nd over, and remaining not out at 6pm to secure a draw for 5th Grade!

20.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the current outbreaks and the risk of spreading COVID-19, the NCU has cancelled all matches this weekend. Hopefully the most recent outbreaks can be contained and we can get back out onto the field in the new year. Stay safe.

20.01.2022 Huge congratulations to club legend Mat Smith for playing his 100th match for North Shore CC a couple of weekends ago. Mat joined the club in 2013/14 and consistently puts in a lot of unnoticed hard work behind the scenes every year, not only for North Shore, but also for the NCU association. Mat has held numerous Committee positions over 8 years, and is currently our 2020/21 Vice President. It is blokes like Mat that help to keep local cricket clubs up and running! Well done Mat, hope to see you for another 100 matches

15.01.2022 Congratulations to the NCU Martin Shield team on another great win on Sunday. Special congratulations to our NSCC lads who did the club proud, especially Ben Myatt who scored 30 (37) and took a match-winning 6/21 (10)!

15.01.2022 WEATHER UPDATE A bit too wet and slippery for cricket today. Preseason training cancelled for this week. See you all next Sunday!

15.01.2022 It's a Saturday. You're batting. You've never made a century before. You're on 99 not out. What shot do you play to get to your maiden ton? Probably not this one. Congratulations to Chris Chipper on your maiden century!

15.01.2022 Around the Grounds: Week 1 Persistent drizzle couldn't stop us from getting some action in over the weekend as 5 out of 5 teams batted first in their respective games. Unfortunately the weather eventually got the better of us as all games ended up being drawn and the points split. Some really promising signs with the bat with most teams ahead in the game, but no hundreds - meaning all first 100 and first 5fa guesses are still up in the air

14.01.2022 FREE DRINKS & FREE FOOD Hopefully that got your attention. Reminder that we are ON tomorrow night at The Diddy! We will be outdoors on the bottom bowling g...reen from 6.30pm, with the squad announcements starting at 7pm. Rest of the night belongs to you to hang out with your team mates, or watch Burglar Benny's beloved Canberra get smashed in the footy on the big screen inside. There will be plenty of jugs of beer going around and finger food supplied by our friends at The Diddy, so this is an opportunity not to miss out on

14.01.2022 After a false start last week with the wet weather, we are back on tomorrow at the usual time and place 1-3pm at Blackman Park. Thank you to everyone so far who has filled out either an electronic or paper registration form. With the season start date just around the corner, it is crucial now to fill out the rego form and pay your fees (check your emails for details) to ensure your name is included when the team squads are put together. Rego form link: https://forms.gle/a...KYPXA6SBh162uq67 Hope to see a big turnout at Blackman Park tomorrow! #northshore #cricket #preseason #payyoursubs #imustgotocricketpreseason #thesimpsons #dayforit

14.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all the North Shore dads out there! For those without any plans, never fear, preseason training is still ON today at Blackman Park from 1pm-3pm

12.01.2022 Happy New Year Shoremen! A new year has brought about a change in training days from Thursdays to Wednesdays. Hence training resumes again TODAY, weather permitting, at 5.30pm at Primrose Park nets (it's on unless we say otherwise). Be there if you want to end up getting standing ovations like this bloke after every innings

12.01.2022 And so it begins. Genesis 1, Chapter 1. In the beginning, God created bat and ball. Now the off-season had been formless and empty, as a global pandemic had created darkness. But God said "let there be cricket" and there was cricket. Preseason begins this Sunday with Covid-safe measures in place where we are encouraging everyone to "Get In, Train, Get Out" (don't mingle around). Please bring along as much kit as you can to avoid sharing equipment, and remember to maintain social distancing & avoid physical contact. All new, old and returning players are invited to attend!

12.01.2022 Looking for your average park cricketer who wants to find the cricket club of their dreams About You: Willingness to play cricket Can hit a ball, roll over an arm and/or catch a ball... 02.01.2022 Rest In Peace Jim Kavanagh. Our thoughts go out to all those who had the pleasure to know him. Jim represented the club 84 times, taking 144 wickets and amassing 1386 runs across his 8 seasons with the club. This included the 2005/06 C Reserve Batting, Bowling and Grade Champion awards.... A true gentleman.

01.01.2022 Around the Grounds: Week 3 A mixed bag of results over the weekend with 3rd Grade posting their first victory, and 5th Grade and B1 Day continuing on their winning ways. Shoutout to Steve Levin from B1 Day for cleaning up the opposition tail and taking 5/36 off his 7 overs
