16.01.2022 For the information of all Koshinkai Karateka. Finally, some good news at Seiryukan. I have received information from the Lions Club that we should be able to resume training in the Dojo on Tuesday 14th (subject to final confirmation). I will confirm as soon as they advise.... So, dust off your Dogi and get ready for training again. Im excited about getting moving again. We have a Covid safe plan and it will be strictly enforced. In short, everyone entering the Dojo will have their temperature taken (no contact) and if 38 degrees or more we wont be able to train. Hand sanitizer will be provided and will be used at every opportunity. Social distancing will be enforced. Partner work ( with social distancing) will be okay but we will have the same partner for the session. No equipment or weapons will be shared, bring your own. There is other stuff but this is it in a nutshell. We are looking forward to seeing your happy smiling faces back in the Dojo
15.01.2022 What are you doing to maintain your fitness and your Karate during our lockdown? It would be good if you could comment and hopefully it will encourage us all to do more.
15.01.2022 For the information of Shorinjiryu Koshinkai Karatedo Australia financial members:- ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP As a result of the COVID-19 situation, the Executive has decided to waive all membership renewal fees for 2020-21.... This applies to individual memberships, dojo registration and instructor insurance renewals. This applies only to continuing members - new members will still be required to pay membership. This is a one-off support to the membership to show our appreciation for the difficult times faced by them (and each of you), and to provide a small piece of encouragement to continue training,

13.01.2022 I think we should be in a position to re-open Dojos by July, provided the virus remains under control. The Prime Minister has announced the following framework. The steps will be subject to the states and territories and their own timelines. Broadly, the steps and what it means for karate in Australia:... Step 1. Allowing gatherings of up to 10 people, including for outdoor activities. Step 2. Allowing gatherings of up to 20 people. Opening a range of other activities such as gyms [dojo], indoor sports facilities, and community sport. Step 3. Allowing gatherings of up to 100 people and broader opening of services. The Government has announced the intent to work towards Stage 3 by July.
