20.01.2022 Since the beginning of the pandemic and the subsequent anxiety that I have been experiencing , due more to the pandemics fallout rather than covid itself, musi...c and art have been integral to my mental health and well being . It’s also been interesting listening to post covid musical releases , esp from countries hit hard like Amerika and England . I believe in a collective consciousness and with technical advances and materialism not only enabling but down right pimping contemporary society’s prostitution with the narcissistic , the shallow , the dim witted, the vapid and down right fucking vacuous , combined with the impact that months of lockdown , media hysteria and fear has had on particular individuals on a global level , at times the rubber band holding together the fabric of society seems about to....... SNAP Next week on Trigger Warning I’ll be playing a selection of people’s musical responses to Covid 19 . Songs that perhaps express the omnipresent collective fear and anxiety surrounding the uncertainty surrounding covid , the division between the masked and unmasked , the growing division between right and left perpetuated by media hysteria and a voyeuristic society ejaculating prematurely and without protection , the strange merging of two formerly oppossed sub cultures , united by conspiracies , and a hatred and mistrust of the powers that be. And of course fear . During the past months music and art have played an integral part in maintaining my sanity . Relatively speaking If you dig and certain songs have resonated to you during this period , weather they’ve been sociopolitically relevent or provided some form of cathartic release ,hope ,relatability or healing on a personal level please post in comments or PM .
