Thank you to all the families who joined us for the Childrens Christmas party and we are hoping to see the ones next time who missed it today! Face Painting, Music, Books reading , Bowling and Musical instruments were few of the highlights along with SANTA CLAUSEs cake cutting ... We hope you all had a great evening!

23.01.2022 Getting Ready for The Christmas:) Many of our rooms have been sustainable using natural and recycled materials for making Christmas trees Also, Santa knows all our children have been really good, so we got the books delivered for all the children by Santa too

22.01.2022 School Readiness starts right here for children and families... Lunch Box week has been a success in our Kinder Room this week where children loved to have the home cooked meal for lunch and enjoyed healthy snacks. Everyone has shown off their beautiful colourful tiffins

21.01.2022 The children at Showgrounds are practicing the enhanced hygiene practices. Even the babies are busy cleaning the high traffic areas . Using the hand sanitizer upon entrance and checking their own temperature for educators is a proof of consistent practice.

Currently focusing on Quality area 2 and 5, we are going to visit Twisters Gym as our regular excursion for Kookaburra and Koala Room. The coaches were amazing, fitnesses program and memory games were todays highlights . Fun and learning to be continued....

18.01.2022 A Glimpse Of The Busy Week of National Journey Towards Fully Reconciled Country at Showgrounds... At the heart of this journey are the relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

17.01.2022 Enhancing on the National Quality Frameworks , Quality Area 3 ( Element 3.2.3), We are focusing on sustainable practices in the service. At Showgrounds, we are:... 1-Using Recycled boxes for storing childrens equipment , making toys/ play resources and doing art and craft activities . 2- We use recycled paper for colouring, drawing and sometimes writing. 3- The temperature is controlled in order to save energy. 4- We adhere to Earth Hour by turning all the lights off and non urgent electrical equipment off for minimum of an hour each day. 5- The children are learning about sustainability via projects in their rooms. 6- We have worm farm to recycle the waste food and use the natural manure for garden. 17.01.2022 The First PD of the year... STEM skills in Early Childhood Thanks to our Area Manager Julie for staying for the PD and going through the basics of Story Park.... For the first time, We also had one of the rooms organised home cooked dinner for the team. What a thoughtful idea! Thank You Team for the active participation

14.01.2022 The children at Showgrounds have worked hard with their teachers and parents to add their favourite food recipes to make the Koala Recipe Book. It has Chicken drumsticks with coconut rice, Easy fried Rice, Lentil and Potato Bake, Chicken and mushroom risotto, Hot Cross Pizza to name a few! We did not forget the desserts so it also has the recipe for Choc Chip cookies and Snow Crisp !!... Collect your very own copy !!

10.01.2022 We had a busy week this week celebrating NAIDOC week, Remembrance Day, Diwali and Recycling week. The children participated in various art and cooking activities. My favourite was one room doing All In One where the children did Aboriginal Yoga on Recycled mats and holding One minute of Silence..

08.01.2022 Thank you to all the staff and our respected GM, Janet W Smith for attending the after hours staff meeting yesterday. It was such an insight into current regulations, Children’s brain development , understanding child’s psychology and most importantly, discussing how the team is travelling and approval of well deserved resources to be purchased. Looking forward to many more staff meetings with our higher managers involved and participating!

07.01.2022 This is how we keep busy on rainy days.. Yoga and singing songs using Auslan.. Just little things The children showed an immense interest once we said we will do some yoga poses. They all gathered together and one child asked to put the sleep music on.... They all followed what the teachers said. When asked to think of the best part of the day so far, the responses were, my dog, my friend and the beach. They have also been practising the songs with Priya using Auslan and were very proud to show off to me

It enhances cognitive development and also promotes social skills such as language, group learning, turn taking and co-operation. Impressed by this research , we did mini session in Emu room today and had lots of fun!

03.01.2022 A day in the busy life of our kitchen staff- For us to keep our promise of healthy eating and nutrition, we have our lovely kitchen staff- Jessica and Gabriella working very hard each day! From cooking to ordering, keeping track of allergies and kitchen compliance audits is a job that needs lots of passion. Very proud of our kitchen power duo!... Jess will be posting her favourite recipes for families as and when requested. Thank you for the families input on Story Park for reviewing our menus
