25.01.2022 AND WERE BACK WITH A BANG! We have been M.I.A for a while with a few things happening both around the stables and behind the scenes of SH Racing but we couldnt think of a better way to jump back into things than getting a win with the big grey Bissel! The 5yo son of Cape Blanco salutes over 1350m at Donald to break his maiden with a tough all the way win! This horse has had quite an interesting start to his racing career and has overcome some big hurdles to get to whe...re he is now. A big well done to Brad Rawiller who has steered this horse in both his starts for us, an incredibly hard working jockey who thoroughly deserved the win on our boy today. Congratulations to all owners and connections!

24.01.2022 SH Racing had a first starter today in race 1 at Werribee. Chairwoman, a 3yo filly by Street Boss ran a lovely 5th over 1100m. Reports from both jockey and trainer have stated that she will benefit from this race and will be much better suited over some more ground. The photo below was taken when Saab had just purchased her at the Inglis premier sales! 22.01.2022 Has SHRacing moved to training miniatures!? Most definitely not, but we do have a few! Meet the ponies (including our big ponies) that help out behind the scenes at SHRacing. Top left is our darling girl Millie, whom is hard to get a photo of without her eating! Top right we have the first of our tiny chestnut boys in Ollie, an incredibly strong willed boy who enjoys getting out of the stables and taking a gallop on the course proper! ... Bottom right we have the second of our tiny chestnut boys in Bam-Bam, the sweetest little man who just wants to be your best friend! And last, but definitely not least, our are two big ponies in Groote and Arrow. Groote is an ex-racehorse of ours who is now enjoying life after racing with us and Arrow is just a big coloured baby who is learning the ropes at how to be a Flemington lead pony. All of these ponies are an integral part of our training; they lead racehorses out onto the track, keep them company at the races as well as at home and they travel all around the state with them! Without these guys wed have some very stressed out and worried horses!

21.01.2022 Good morning! We have a huge day planned for Seymour with an all out assult to bring home four winners on the card! In race 2 we have debutant Star Clipper looking to kick off his career well over 1200m guided by Ben Thompson. In race 6 we have newcomer Anyways Rosie who resumes over 1000m after a long break with Craig Newitt in saddle. In race 7 we have Groote Eylandt who is racing very consistently looking to grab a win over the 1300m also with Craig Newitt. And in race 8 over 1600m we have Grey Sambucca who is looking to get back to form over a longer trip guided by.... you guessed it Craig Newitt! Good luck to connections and SHR

20.01.2022 Way to go Rocco! The 4yo son of Mulaazem finally broke through for his maiden victory today at Seymour over 2000m, with Fred Kersley steering him first past the post. This horse has been knocking on the door over his last few starts so its great to see him delivering today for the stable as well as his incredibly patient owners Hopefully he pulls up well in the next few days and will surely be back on the racetrack in the next few weeks chasing bigger and better things now that he is a maiden galloper no more!

20.01.2022 Today i had the chance to get an update on one of SHRs retired horses Turfane! Im sure i dont have to remind you of how special this beautiful boy was. Turfane was a true gentleman and had the looks to match. He always gave 100% on the track and retired wit a record of 4 wins 3 seconds and 7 thirds!! Turfie has settled into retirement well with Chynna Marston who will use him as a show horse and looks as happy as ever! We wish him all the best and he will always have a place in our hearts!

20.01.2022 WINNER WINNER @ HEADQUARTERS! Sirius Suspect puts his rivals to the sword in easy fashion at Flemington today! The 4yo son of Wanted broke through for a much deserved win after previously racing in some tough company at listed level. A fantastic ride from the ever talented Brad Rawiller saw this tough gelding first across the post. A big thank you to Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock for entrusting us with this horse, the first win of many to come. ... Congratulations to all connections!

16.01.2022 Nothing like getting back into the winners stall at Flemington with the ever consistent Sirius Suspect! The 5yo son of Wanted has now taken his record to 6 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds from 18 starts! Another brilliant ride from the incredibly talented and hard working Brad Rawiller, saw Sirius Suspect take a rather bold front running move along the outside rail for an all the way victory. Congratulations to all connections!

15.01.2022 Someone call 000 because the team is on fire! 2 winners within 3 days, how good is that!? Tuesdays meeting at Stawell saw Divine Attraction break through for a deserved maiden win. The 4yo daughter of Hong Kong derby winner Helene Mascot, proved to be too strong over the last 100m and edged out her rivals by a short head.... The step up to the 2000m proved to be a winning move as well as a solid ride by Jarrod Fry. Onwards and upwards for this up and coming staying mare! Congratulations to all connections.

10.01.2022 First up after a 19 week spell, 62kgs, wet track and a wide barrier to contend with? No problem for Voyage De Lune making it 2 from 2! The 4yo son of Puissance De Lune slugs it out for a tough win under the guidance of Brad Rawiller. Jumping from the widest barrier, he was faced with a tough run being caught wide but managed to slot in for some eventual cover. Peeling out around the 400m mark, he was to strong to the line! Congratulations to all connections!

10.01.2022 Good afternoon all! Were back online in full force now, theres no stopping us! As a team, weve discussed that were going to strive to allow our followers an inside as to what goes on behind the scenes. The photos below are 2 of our lovely fillies that we purchased at last years weanling sales, enjoying their time out in the paddock and turning into cheeky little yearlings! With one being by Reset (who knows, maybe shes the next Shoreham? ) and the other by Kuroshio, we...ve purchased a staying and a sprinting type - the best of both worlds! All of our horses are treated to the best of care whilst out spelling, an integral part to any racehorses career and preparation. The 5yo daughter of Magnus salutes over the 1200m at Warrnambool for her third career victory A lovely ride by the talented Jarrod Fry saw Pretty Bella take a comfortable position outside the leader and when asked for an effort turning into the straight, she exploded away and ran to the line well. ... 05.01.2022 And just like that, its two on the board for SH Racing this week! YesIDo, the 5yo son of So You Think salutes tonight first up from a freshen up over 1600m at Pakenham. Yet again, young gun Fred Kersley steers him first past the post! Exciting times ahead for this horse as well as his loving and patient owners. Hes been a work in progress since the stable acquired him from Queensland, but the hard work is paying off and Im sure there will be plenty more wins as his caree...r progresses. Once again, congratulations to all connections as well as all the staff at SH Racing.

04.01.2022 WINNER ON DEBUT!! What an outstanding debut performance by our big boy Voyage De Lune! The 3yo son of Puissance De Lune cruises to the line for a 1.5 length victory over the 1200m at Echuca. Another great ride from Brad Rawiller saw Voyage De Lune jump from barrier 10 and have a pretty cruisey run throughout, he presented on the corner being almost 3-4 lengths off the horses in front of him and managed to pick them up with ease With a margin of 1.5 lengths from 1st ...to 2nd, a further 2.25 lengths from 2nd to 3rd and an 8.25 lengths difference from 3rd to the remainder of the field, we are incredibly excited about the prospect and future of this horse! Congratulations to all connections!

02.01.2022 Update on one of the stables faves who is enjoying retirement in Canberra. Compound was such a beautiful boy and was very successful on the flat and undefeated over the jumps! Anyone who met him fell in love straight away! He still loves his carrots with his mates Zeus and Rivers! Thanks for the update Brad Smith

02.01.2022 Welcome back to the SH Racing page! Weve been pretty quiet on the Facebook front of things for a while now but what a way to get back into the swing of things with a little update/dedication on our stable superstar Shoreham! As most of our followers know, Shoreham gave Saab his biggest career win to date by taking out the Group 3 Easter Cup at Caulfield last March, from then on though our little mate was unplaced in his 8 starts after. His start at Flemington in January wo...uld be his last as a racehorse and he is now enjoying retirement out at his loving strappers Zoes property. As the chapter of a little horse called Shoreham has come to an end, we look forward to beginning the chapters in our next lot of potential stable superstars. 02.01.2022 Hmm, are we sure these guys have retired from racing? I havent seen them move that quick since they finished their racing careers! Who knew moving from one side of the farm to the other could be this exciting!? Rev and Shoreham having a spin around their new paddock, stirring up Groote and Arrow as well as Zoes old mare Dolly and the mini ponies! Just a quick snapshot of life after racing at Lavalon Lodge Sorry we havent been as active on here of late, its been a crazy fortnight or so at SHRacing! Weve got a few runners engaged to run at Geelong on Saturday, make sure to tune in and see how we go!

01.01.2022 What a fantastic run by Thelburg this evening! The 6yo son of Written Tycoon ran back into form with a solid 3rd placing at Bendigo with Fred Kersley on board. Leading for 90% of the race with a whopping 62kg, he most certainly was gallant in defeat. This horse has been a bit difficult to unravel, but were hoping to see the best is yet to come! Congratulations to all connections, it may not of been the win that we were all hoping for, but it most certainly is a step in the right direction.
