19.01.2022 It was a bittersweet night last Thursday as we wrapped up training at Shugyo Wollongong CBD. Thank you to all the parents that have supported us through the years. For the last three years I have been lucky enough to watch your children grow in martial arts and life in general. It’s been an honour and a privilege. Thanks to the extended Shugyo family for your help and support during that time and most of all thank you to all the students past and present that made me laugh, cry and stand in awe at your determination to show the best that you can possibly be. It has truly meant more to me than I could ever have possibly imagined! - Ins Glenn

18.01.2022 Attention parents and students. Please see the attached information regarding the Shugyo end of year tournament being held at the Woonona Dojang on Sunday 2nd of December following our last grading for the year on Saturday1st of December. It’s a great way to test out some of the skills that have been acquired during training in a fun, friendly and safe environment. It’s also the Wollongong regions chance to host our visiting Shugyo family members from Tonga and New Zealand so all our encouraged to attend even if not competing or grading. 17.01.2022 A little family staff work fun!

17.01.2022 Attention students and parents as most of you are aware due to the massive ongoing construction at Wollongong Public School the Shugyo Wollongong CBD branch will be merging with the Woonona branch for the foreseeable future. The construction will continue into next year so we will review our options then. I encourage all Wollongong students to continue their training at the Woonona Dojang under Regional Instructor Tracy , Branch Instructor Dana and all the Assistant Instructo...rs and Blackbelts. I will of course still be working with all Wollongong students and following your progress. I don’t want to lose any students so I urge parents to think of anyway possible to keep the kids training on Mondays and Wednesday’s at Woonona! Oscar and Shaiyan looking better with the step sparring and escapes, Hunter coming along well with that pattern, Rosette and Ella working hard and putting in the overtime hours, Melvin helping to demonstrate the escapes for everyone and Jordan for stepping up once again and Instructing the juniors when I was busy! 13.01.2022 A reminder that to all parents and students that benchmarking is on tonight at Woonona Public School starting at 6pm. All Wollongong students are encouraged to attend. T shirt, shorts and joggers to be worn and remember plenty of water.
