23.01.2022 95 staff and students spent Friday evening, "sleeping rough", learning about homelessness and the amazing work Frderick Ozanam started, the founder of Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you for the amazing job that our Year 11 Leaders and Georgie Smith (Yr 12 Faith and Mission Convenor) did and for the support of our Year 12 volunteers and staff. Thank you so much for the generosity of our Siena parents, donating items that our homeless Sunshine Coast families will receive this Christmas. #sienacc2020 #sienacommunity

22.01.2022 Congratulations to the Open B Boys Water Polo team on their Grand Final win last night against St Johns. Final score was a nail biting 5-3. 22.01.2022 Is it ethically permissible to opt-out of hearing news about political happenings? How should governments weigh violations of individual liberties against protecting the health and well-being of others during a health crisis? Do the personal benefits of air travel outweigh its environmental costs? These are some of the ethical questions presented to our 10 students, in 2 teams, last week at the Middle School Ethics Olympiad. This was the first time we have participated ...in this event which saw our teams participate in 4 heats during the day, via Zoom, against teams from across Queensland. Each heat was adjudicated by Professors and leading thinkers in the area of ethics, philosophy, business and politics. Both teams were outstanding ambassadors for our school and while neither team received a place, one team was awarded an Honourable Mention. Thanks to Ms Byrne and Dr McCarthy for leading student engagement in this activity. Well done students. #sienacc2020 #sienaproud #sienacocurricular #BeyondTheClassroom
