Why you ask......... Well here's the list: - Cheerleaders and Dancers know how to groom themselves for presentation, as they show up to class neatly, they know how to do hair makeup and clothing appropriate for every situation too because through studio life they have been to multiple events requiring different levels of grooming. - They know how to wear a uniform and appropriate attire for the activity. Knowing what to wear and when is a highly favourable skill. - Cheerleaders and Dancers know to show up ready and prepared. Dancers and Cheerleaders are taught the importance of being on time. - Cheerleaders and Dancers have impeccable time management skills, balancing school work, social lives and after school activities show an employer that the student can manage and handle their time wisely. - Cheerleaders and Dancers are respectful. Students who have trained in Cheerleading and Dance are used to following the guidance of their coaches and teachers. They know to respect the chain of command. - Cheerleaders and Dancers are excellent at learning new skills and following directions. This is something even very young dancers and cheerleaders learn. - Cheerleaders and Dancers play well with others. Having to work with others to create and learn choreography creates outstanding team players. - Cheerleaders and dancers often make good leaders. People who can demonstrate good leadership are highly valued in the workforce. - Dancers and Cheerleaders have persistence. When learning new skills it takes persistence and patience if you are new in a job you need both to successfully integrate yourself into your new role. - Many dance studio’s and cheer gyms offer opportunities for teens to assist classes developing teaching and mentoring skills. - Cheerleaders and Dancers are confident. This makes job interviews a breeze you can confidently enter a room and answer questions without hesitation. Entering the workforce can be a daunting experience but the right foundations can make the transition so much easier. It's not hard to give your child the best possible chance.
