22.01.2022 Congratulations to Senior Student Patrick Roche who recently competed in the International Speed Striking Challenge; a virtual Eskrima speed tournament. Paddy competed in SSC3 against 7th Grade Master Miko & Black Belts Justin N & Marklyn P finishing in 3rd place with 53 strikes in 10 seconds & 138 strikes in 30 seconds. Paddy is the youngest competitor in the international tournament so far. He will be competing in SSC101 this Sunday against 17 competitors including a team of Indonesian Special Forces Soldiers & Police. This is a 1 round tournament where competitors will have 1min 1sec to deliver their maximum strikes.

17.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that Sikaran Martial Arts has been successful in its application for Round 2 of Mount Isa City Council Community Grants Scheme. Our Dojo will be receiving new fans that will allow for better air movement during training, are quieter and more energy efficient. We will also be purchasing a new floor cleaner to protect our Dojo floor Thank you Mount Isa City Council. The Students & Committee appreciate your continued support of our club.

11.01.2022 Australia vs Philippines Sikaran Martial Arts Senior Student & Australian WEKAF Champion Patrick Roche has been invited to represent Australia & Mount Isa in the upcoming International Speed Striking Challenge. At only 16 Patrick will be competing against 3 highly experienced Blackbelt Eskrimadors from Cacoy Canete Doce Pares in Cebu including a 7th Grade Master, to see who is the fastest at striking with a stick.... The event will be held on Sunday July 26th at 5pm and via Zoom and consists of each player undertaking 3 x 10 second rounds & 3 x 30 second rounds. The winner will be determined on number of strikes per second, power and range of strikes. Tickets to view this event are $5 & all funds raised go to the FMA teachers in Cebu who have lost their livelihood due to COVID-19. This is going to be a great event and you'll get to see some of the quickest stick fighters in the world go head-to-head to find out who will be the champion. 07.01.2022 It's great to see how quickly our Juniors are getting back into the swing of things. Last night Guro Enzo split the class into 3 groups. Chris looked after the advanced Juniors, Thomas ran the intermediate Juniors through their Forms and Patrick took the new starters. All while Guro Enzo oversaw the up-and-coming assistant trainers. The students did well last night and all parents/carers should be very proud!... Thanks to our senior students who step up to assist with training. This is a very important step to take on your martial journey....
