Due to the current situation regarding the pandemic, Nick and his family have been reduced to very poor circumstances. 21.01.2022 Good morning again folks. We have an upcoming seminar with Justin Jones and Daniel Cronin. The seminar is happening on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of August. This one is twofold, one section is for kids aged between 8yrs and 13yrs and will be run by Daniel Cronin. The second section is for senior students and will be run by Justin Jones. Hopefully we will be able to work in conjunction with Nathan Tansky from Zen 9 and have the kids sessions at the showground hall. Sessi...ons for the juniors will be approximately 2hrs each with the first session kicking off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon the 17th of August and a second session kicking off at 9am on Sunday the 18th of August. The seniors will follow a similar programme except that Saturday's session will run from 3pm until 6.00pm and Sunday's session from 9.00am until 12.00pm. The seminar cost will be $60 per head. It's been a rough year, but we will come out of it stronger than ever, as always! We have a Zoom tournament coming up on the 21st of June, it's with AMAC and there is still plenty of time left to enter if you wish to. There is no sparring with this one, it's jurus only. Let me know if you want to be in it. The tournament cost is $30.

17.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. We are back to training in the shed as of 12 noon today. There are still some restrictions though the following rules must be adhered to for the resumption of training: 1. Before entering you must have you temperature checked 2. You must thoroughly wash your hands either with soap and water or with the anti-bacterial wash.... 3. You must sign into the visitors register with your name, contact number as well as time and date. 4. You must sign out on the visitors register with your time of departure. 5. All things being equal, we will be finished with the juniors by 12pm at the latest and the seniors by 6pm. 08.01.2022 Good morning folks. We will be online as soon as possible. To help us do that I need everyone to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app, sign up using their email address, send their email address to me, accept my subsequent contact request and then sign into the meetings as they happen. At this stage the online classes will run for 40 minutes each and you will be in the class with other students the only real change will be that you will be training at home. We are still ok to train at the moment and we have plenty of strategies in place to keep you safe while you train.

08.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Keep Saturday the 28th of March free. We will be holding our club tournament on that day. The events will be Tanding, Jurus and Jurus Tunggal for those who wish to showcase their skills. I reccomended that everyone takes part for the experience. The tournament is open to all members of SLB. Tournament entry fee will be $25 per competitor. The Supporters club doesn't cover this tournament.

05.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, I have received a notice from the APSF regarding the upcoming World Championships both junior and senior. The junior championship will now be held in Singapore in June and the senior in Malaysia in July. The APSF is calling on all Perguruan to nominate athletes for a selection event to be held over the Easter weekend. I don't have a location yet, but prepare for Melbourne. This year they are calling for athletes for all age groups:... Elementary 7-12yrs Pre teen 12-15yrs Teen 15-17yrs Senior 17-35yrs. The categories that will be contested will be: Tanding Jurus Tunggal Regu Ganda If you wish yourself or your child to compete in the selection event, please notify me by the 1st of January. They have succeeded in doing an absolutely amazing job with Olivia gaining third place and Aisling fourth place in their respective divisions! See more
