25.01.2022 I’m photographing some personal branding photographs today, and with it more than 4 years since I launched Silk Imagery, I think it’s the perfect opportunity to share a little snapshot of myself. I’m Rosie the person you’ll connect with from the initial message you send, to the photography session, and to the presentation and delivery of your images. I actually wear many ‘hats’, but the role I cherish the most is as Mum to four young children a girl and three boys so u...npredictable and chaotic family and newborn sessions are my specialties! I’m also a farmer’s wife and we live at Culcairn, between Albury and Wagga and I travel around the region for my photography. I’m really passionate about our rural countryside, so I relish capturing moments on-farm whether for wedding celebrations or photographing family togetherness. I originally trained in photography as part of media studies and I’m still involved in writing/editing projects today. Whilst I’m a self-confessed chatterbox who can usually strike up a conversation with anyone, like many others I meet, I am very shy in front of the camera But, this is me, captured by the super talented Briony Hardinge Photography, who helped me strike a pose, or should I more truthfully say, put up with awkward giggles, cheesy smiling, and random hair tossing, and still managed to create images I’m proud to share. 23.01.2022 Last time I captured little Lily, she was a sleepy newborn being cradled in her brothers' arms, in our session recently, her cheeky little personality definitely shone through. I've photographed the Mason family a few times now, and it's lovely to watch their children grow.

22.01.2022 Another chilly start to today’s morning. Sharing a little throwback to a beautiful engagement shoot in the snow last winter. Engagement photos can be a wonderful way to experience and feel more comfortable being in front of the camera before the wedding.

21.01.2022 It's always tricky picking out single favourite images to share from sessions, but this moment captured with this beautiful family makes me smile. I have so much family love on my screen and lots more to share. It has been amazing to have my camera back in hand and capturing so many little personalities over the past couple of weeks and especially see how much families I've met before have grown.

20.01.2022 Well, what a chilly start to winter it’s been and definitely time to start rugging up! Archie chose to cuddle a woolly lamb today while helping out on the farm.

17.01.2022 After 6 months not having a camera in hand at a wedding, and so much disappointment with many couples changing their plans, it was so lovely to capture Bec and Tom’s beautiful intimate ceremony at Holbrook last weekend. I’m excited to photograph another special celebration tomorrow.

14.01.2022 Meet adorable little Sofia. She slept just as perfectly through her newborn session as her older brother did when I captured him two years ago. I love these beautiful lilac tones too. Her mum had bought a few wraps and tiebacks of her own, so it was extra special to use these in our styled set-ups too.

06.01.2022 Such rich red tones in this bridal look, captured as part of a local collaboration with My Floral Styling In what has certainly been a dramatic year when it comes to wedding planning, I have been working with many beautiful couples to recreate, rearrange or reschedule their plans, I'm hopeful they will eventually achieve the celebrations they've dreamed of, even if they become more intimate occasions.

02.01.2022 Last winter I captured Tylia and Rowan's engagement images in the snow, so I knew we'd enjoy plenty of adventures for their wedding. Another celebration that wasn't without some changes and uncertainty, but I was so excited to still be able to capture their beautiful day at Coleambally over the weekend.
