23.01.2022 PENNANTS OF DIVISION 2 ROUND 4 CONTINUED AT SILkWOOD. 2 Teams from Tully met 2 Teams from Silkwood.Congratulation to our 2 SILKWOOD Teams who won comfortably scoring 58 in total,unfortunately there only can be one winner ,but no disgrace to theTully teams scoring 38..To all bowlers ..well done!

22.01.2022 2020 DIVISION 2 PENNANTS ROUND 6 at Silkwood 2Teams from Innisfail/Babinda met 2 Teams from Silkwood. Team F.Catalan and Team Dan Dunne could not be separated and ended with equal scores 14/14. Team A Morrison was triumphant over Team Morris Perdola by 1 shot 22/21 Total scores Innisfail/Babinda 36 shots and Silkwood 35. ....so close and yet so far!! Hope all players enjoyed their games,we at Silkwood enjoyed your attendance.

21.01.2022 Saturday at Silkwwood Bowls Club the ZONE 8 PLAY OFF between TFNQ and NQ. CARMEN COBB and DENISE CHARMAN competed in this important event. Congratulation to both Ladies for an exciting game .The winner of the day was Carmen Cobb progressing now to compete in the 8 Zones pay off at Brisbane.We wish you good luck.

12.01.2022 Our yearly attempt to win the ARTHUR DAVIS SHIELD. Our dear bowler friends from the Atherton Bowls Club defended the Shield successfully at Silkwood Bowls Club. CONGRATULATION! Arthur Davis holding proudly the Shield taking it back to Atherton . Silkwood bowlers have to wait till next year's visit to Atherton , testing their ability to win it. Thank you Atherton Bowlers for your so enjoyable company ,we hope you enjoyed yourselves .

12.01.2022 THE ELIO CREMA CUP AT SILKWOOD BOWLS CLUB. Over 2 days Section 1 Teams and Section 2 Teams coming from Edge Hill,Brothers Edmonton,Cairns,Tully,Silkwood and Marlin Coast,Innisfail,Babinda,South Johnstone,West Cairns Gordon Vale,contested each other over 5 Rounds to determine the final competitors. A thrilling finish between Edge Hill and Innisfail took place and kept us in suspense till the very last end where Innisfail secured a win by 1 shot.

11.01.2022 Today we had our mixed triple bowling event.48 bowlers from Tully,Innisfail South Johnstone,Babinda,Edmonton and Silkwood,tried their best to win the top money prize..Congratulation to all contestants, but team 3 from Silkwood Denise Charman,Bryan Meyer and Len Charman were the winners. The team of M O'Halloran,K O'Halloran and A Windsor came second .the third prize went to K Foord,M Roots and L Hoskins..THANK you all for your attendance, we enjoyed your visit to our club.

10.01.2022 YUNGABURRA MET SILKWOOD,! Saturday at the Silkwood Bowls Club our yearly meeting with Yungaburra Bowls Club decided the fate of the DAVESON CUP...STAY UP AT YUNGABURRA OR COME DOWN TO SILKWOOD? 24 bowlers from each club had a very close contest with scores of 191 going to Silkwood and 182 to Yungaburra. HURRAY the Cup is coming down ..Sorry YUNGABURRA..we will look after it till next year...BUT most of all we enjoyed your so infectious laughter and happiness. THANK YOU for your visit.

06.01.2022 ATTENTION DUE TOMAINTENANCE OF THE BOWLING GREEN THE CLUB WILL BE CLOSED FROM MONDAY THE 19TH OCTOBER TO THE 23RD . WE WILL OPEN FOR 1 DAY 24TH FOR OUR PENNANTS GAME,BUT WILL BE AGAIN BE CLOSED TILL THE 28TH .WE WILL RESUME NORMAL OPENING HOURS FROM THAT DATE ONWARDS.
