22.01.2022 Off & running with the studio build ... 7.5m x 4.5m floor space ... after day 4 the bearers on concreted stirrups are in!! Huge thanks to Nik for leading the project ...

22.01.2022 March 6. After a long weekend away at the Nannup Music Festival we're back on the tools .... today, a ROOF!!! Ten sheets all up, and Kaye got busy prepping the west wall's Jarrah window frame for re-glazing. Starting to feel like an enclosed space. Rain in Albz tomorrow apparently, bring it on!

13.01.2022 Despite morning showers the studio build has progressed ... eight rather large & bulky 22mm particle boards laid with under-floor insulation today. Big thanks to Nik Rolph and David Sims for the support in getting this stage of the project done, then wrapping the entire area to protect against overnight moisture. Tomorrow? .... let the wall framing begin!!

12.01.2022 Another big day onsite ... south wall framing built and erected in place, and cladding for two walls collected ... great service from Metroll Albany. HUGE thanks to Sarah & David for helping out with the big lift!!

10.01.2022 March 12. Kaye got on with stapling SARK sheeting to the east & north walls; the studio looks like a large blue box with openings now better defined. Restoration continues on the upcycled west wall window frame, and Nik did a really solid job fitting the front door framing that was originally in the main house. Ready for external cladding, electrics & plumbing fitout.

08.01.2022 February 25th. Progressing the studio build ... much work being done on reconditioning the upcycled main front doorway, and the roof framing is finally DONE!

08.01.2022 18 February. Internal wall constructed and the west wall framing is up and braced, while our 'Site Manager' contemplates where to position the up-cycled main entrance door & side panels

07.01.2022 ... and 24 hours later the floor joist system is done & dusted!

07.01.2022 A belated post from last Friday's effort. Two more wall frames constructed, the Eastern one in place. Stinking hot Albany day (25C) so the afternoon spent dressing some lovely seasoned hardwood for all of the window framing. Delicious morning tea of Woolie's early-season hot cross buns followed by a sumptuous lunch of chicken or lentil tacos. This week coming? You guessed it, more framing!!

05.01.2022 February 26th. Windy day stapling the first sheets of SARK insulation sheeting. South wall zincalume cladding achieved & framing for the diamond leadlight completed. Lovin' the Milwaukee tool set special @ T&C Albany

04.01.2022 The little idea is now growing into a reality!!!

02.01.2022 February 20th ... woop woop all six frames are up!! Roof framing here we come ...
