14.01.2022 Downpipe/Stage 2 UPDATE We have received many many questions from you, we are here now to clear any confusion or queries you might have! 1 Is Stage 2 Softw...are Available still? Yes Stage 2 APR Software (any software that requires a Downpipe for the upgrade) is still available 2 I want to go to Stage 2, however I don’t have the parts/budget ready to go to that level yet, what can I do? You can visit your local APR dealer to flash the Stage 2 software on your car BEFORE the 7th of September. The APR dealer will flash the software on your car and then back off your car until you are ready to install the correct hardware to suit the tune This way, you are Grandfathered in (saved in the APR system) as a Stage 2 customer and will never lose your file 3 Can I buy an APR Downpipe? No. The APR downpipes have ceased production indefinitely, you MIGHT find some dealers have leftover stock on the shelf. If you purchase an APR Downpipe, as usual, you will have access to the free Stage 2 Downpipe software for your vehicle. 4 Why is APR removing Downpipes and Software off their catalogue? The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in the United States is on a large crackdown for all non emission compliant vehicles. The US has different rules and regulations for each state. Some states have tight, strict, rules, while others have very lenient rules. In Efforts to become more green and compliant with all 50 states, APR is leading the market to make sure rules are followed in all states across the US. 5 How does this affect Australia? If Downpipe sales continued worldwide, there is nothing stopping online sales of Downpipes to be sold back into the US where they are non compliant. To be more Green, APR is ceasing ALL sales to prevent this from happening 6 Can I use another brand Downpipe? While we always recommend APR hardware to be paired with APR software, most name branded, 3’ Inch Downpipes will suffice for APR software. 7 What’s next? We are not going away! APR will still be alive and strong for all of our customers. We are currently working on new and exciting options for current and upcoming models that don’t require a Downpipe. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming developments. 8 After the 7th, what can I do after Stage 1? All of our current hardware will still work with APR Software. Intakes, Intercoolers, Catch Cans, Suspension mods, Catback Exhausts etc will still work. We are also still offering Stage 3. #GOAPR #GoGreen
