Our winemaker, Mike Garland came along to talk the group through all things cool climate wines, the Denmark terroir and how each Silverstream Chardonnay differs from the next. - Bookings are available on our website for this full exploration of our Chardonnay range from 2010 - 2016. 19.01.2022 Happy sheep at Silverstream currently very spoilt for choice with views...and greens! Sheep are carbon converters. They convert grass to carbon via their faeces. This builds soil humus (organic matter) and adds a small amount of nitrogen. - Sheep are a lot more efficient and friendly on soil compaction rather than a tractor and slasher to keep the inter-row and under-vine grass down. One of the many techniques we use at our vineyard to minimise interference with nature’s way.
