10.01.2022 A grumpy looking and very territorial clownfish in Sipadan, Malaysia. Clownfish, or Clown Anemonefish, are so-named for the sea anemones in which they make their homes. The anemone's tentacles have stinging cells that release a toxin when a prey or predator touches it. Clownfish, however, develop an immunity to the toxins by building up a layer of mucus on their bodies. The pair forms a symbiotic relationship. 02.01.2022 This beautiful patterned nudibranch "Goniobranchus Reticulatus" making its way over a sea squirt "Tunicate" in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Finding Nudibranchs on a dive isn't always easy, they're usually quite small, and tend to hide underneath and inbetween coral, sponges, and rubble. The good news is that they are pretty slow moving, and usually have bright colours or patterns to deter predators from eating them.
