23.01.2022 Musing about a book idea

23.01.2022 Was invited by Light FM to attend a business breakfast and look who happened to also be there - Matt Boutros, the illustrator of our book! I was able to do some... networking and give away a few copies to the Light FM crew, including to Lucy and Kel (from the popular morning show)! Who knows? It may lead to being invited for an interview some time!

22.01.2022 Having recently purchased "www.kidsguidetoprayer.com" I am thinking about trying to write 3 children's books in this series - each for a different age and stage. The title would be "WOW GOD, THANK YOU, SORRY, PLEASE", but the subheadings would be... A Tiny Kid's Guide to Prayer (a board book for babies and young toddlers)... A Little Kid's Guide to Prayer (a simple book for ages 2-4) A Big Kid's Guide to Prayer (a book that goes into it in more depth for ages 5-7) See more

13.01.2022 Amelia Bonow hopes to release a children's book teaching kids that abortion is ok. That's one more reason why I want to write a children's book about what it means for all people to be made in God's image. twitter.com/ameliabonow/status/1078825207203356672

09.01.2022 DEAR AUTHORS: For at least the foreseeable future, SSP will not be taking any submissions from authors. There are two main reasons for this:... 1. We are still establishing our identity and so at this stage, we will not be taking on books that we do not produce ourselves, even if we think the book is a great idea. 2. We are still very small and do not have the resources or experience to publish other people's works. We have only published one book ourselves! Possibly, God willing, we may get to a stage where we can consider helping other authors to publish their work, but we are nowhere near there yet. Despite this, we are happy to pass on any advice or tips from what we have learned from our crowd-funding and self-publishing journey so far!

08.01.2022 HOW CAN YOU HELP? If you would like to contribute to the making sure we can create an animated video of "When Santa Learned the Gospel", you can do so now at our PayPal page. We need to raise a little over $2,000 and if we haven't raised enough, we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in late July. ... If you can contribute before the campaign launch, the less we will have to raise through Kickstarter and the less we have to give them a commission of the funds. Any questions put in the comments below or send us a message. https://www.paypal.me/SimonCamilleri

06.01.2022 Just purchased www.kidsguidetoprayer.com Doesn't go anywhere yet, but is the first step to what I hopefully will be working on this year...

02.01.2022 Follow Santa's journey in this unique Christmas fable as he learns about Jesus' message of grace and discovers what it means for both the naughty and the nice.

02.01.2022 At first we thought that printing 2,000 copies of our first book, "When Santa Learned the Gospel" was overkill, but as more people hear about our little book, the more people are enthusiastic for it as a perfect Christmas gift for family and friends of all ages! So, believe it or not, we have ordered ANOTHER 1,000 books from the printers, expected to arrive by mid November! Praise God that there are so many people who will be receiving this book this Christmas and join us in ...praying that it leads to many gospel conversations about Jesus and his message of grace! And if you haven't ordered your copies yet, go to: www.Shop.SantaGospel.com before they all sell out!

01.01.2022 This is all four versions of the book. From left to right: 1. The version I used to promote the book's 2016 Kickstarter campaign and do the first recorded readi...ng of the book. The title font was my handwriting and inside it just had the words with no illustrations as they mostly had not been even started yet! 2. The 2017 self-published version which was hard cover and produced under the name "Simon Says Publishing". If you own one of these, you have something very precious to me and there most likely will never be another hard cover produced. 3. The first version under the publisher 10ofThose who came on board in late 2017. This version was soft cover and contained new things like page numbers and slight edits to the text. 4. The latest and greatest version. Made in 2018, it was still soft cover but with much stronger and glossier stock which made the book feel and look really special. There were a few tweaks to the illustrations from the last soft cover version - most notably, the "factory floor" page, with several little characters moved around to work better with the page layout. Seeing these four versions together reminds me of the epic journey this book has been on from crazy idea to self-publishing passion project to a professionally published international success. Thank you to all those who have journeyed with us through that whole adventure!
