Whether it be your new years resolution or a promise you made yourself, whatever the reason, come in to your local Sim...ply Pharmacy and speak to us today about how we can help you! You may also find the following helpful;- Start off by setting a start date, and make sure you stick to it. Have a plan in place on how to deal with situations in the future where you may be tempted to have a smoke (such as if you go out for coffee or drinks with friends). Another good start is to throw out all cigarettes, ashtrays and anything else that may remind you of smoking, also wash your clothes and have your car cleaned to remove the smell; it is also a good start to find alternatives for what you would use smoking for (ie; to take a break or reward yourself) such as having a cup of tea instead of having a 'smoke' or going for a walk. Let those close to you (family, friends, work peers) know you are quitting smoking so they can support you - and if any of them are smokers; so they know not to offer you a 'smoke'; maybe they will choose to quit smoking with you! Quitting smoking is different for every person, so keep in mind it may take a few attempts but don't give up! You need to find an approach at suits you, whether it be to give up "cold turkey" or to gradually cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke each day. You may need to consider including Nicotine Replacement in this quitting journey such as Nicotine Patches if you feel you need that extra help.
