22.01.2022 Homemade quiche with garden grown zucchini flowers, zucchini ( Round de Nice), tomatoes.. @mountviewalpaca homegrown eggs and a inclusion of powders of rosella, Davidson plum and sumac. All the sours!! I put the violas onto the top straight out of the oven. They softened out and almost looked like they were pressed. A lovely experimental opportunity to see what would happen. All the rows now are purely for @wild.flower.forests but in saying that, Im having fun planting out #foodforest or #ediblemeadow concepts ( love Sid Hill Ecological Meadow! Thanks @gardenersworldmag @themontydon ) with edible borders on the flower rows. Interplanting peas for structure and nitrogen fixing same as blue butterfly pea, rocket and mustards for nematodes control, radish, perilla, heat resistant... asian greens and radishes. Moringa and Amaranth for canopy, sunflowers for edible sprouts, buds and petals, celosia for the leaves. There is more than enough packed here for a good old forage!
