19.01.2022 Reach vs. Impressions on Facebook Facebook officially defines reach as the number of people saw your ads at least once. It organises reach into three categories organic, paid and viral: Organic reach: the number of unique people who saw your content organically (for free) in the Facebook News Feed.... Paid reach: the number of people on Facebook who saw a piece of content that has been paid for (an ad). It’s often directly affected by factors such as budgets and audience targeting. Viral reach: the number of people who saw your content because one of their friends interacted with it. Impressions, on the other hand, are defined as the number of times your ads were on screen. One user may see a post multiple times throughout the duration of the campaign and each of those times would count as an individual impression. Facebook organises impressions into two categories served and viewed: Served impressions: an ad that has been paid for and Facebook has decided to deliver it to users. Served ads may not appear on screen though. This is due to people either scrolling past too quickly or being below the fold (the user hasn’t scrolled down to it yet). Viewed impressions: an ad that had appeared in its entirety on a user’s screen. They did not navigate away from the ad before it could load properly.

17.01.2022 At the end of March, Google pledged to disburse $340 million dollars in credits to SMBs (Small and Medium Size Businesses) and have just recently updated the information on this business ad credit. The main eligibility requirement within this subset of advertisers is that you must have spent the following on Google Ads: - 10 out of the last 12 months in 2019 AND in January and/or February of this year.... - If you hadn’t spent anything in 2020, you will be ineligible - Brand new accounts as of 2020 will not be eligible. - Each eligible advertiser gets 1 ad credit. What that credit is worth will vary by customer. Google doesn’t release specific details of the calculation, instead specifying that it’s based on historic Ad spend levels, plus their country and currency. Source: Search Engine Journal
