23.01.2022 [Updates on Singapore Border Measures for Travellers from Australia] Singaporeans, PRs and long-term pass holders entering Singapore with travel history to NSW in the last 14 days before departure for Singapore must serve a seven-day stay-home notice at their place of residence. These travellers will also be required to take a Covid-19 PCR test before the end of their notice period.... Regardless of their point of origin, all travellers from Australia will be required to declare their travel history at airline check-in prior to their flight to Singapore. Short-term travellers holding an air travel pass with travel history to New South Wales (NSW) in Australia within the last 14 days before departure for Singapore will not be allowed to enter from Thursday (Dec 24).

22.01.2022 Australian Defence Minister Senator Linda Reynolds made her introductory visit to Singapore yesterday 20 October 2020, where she called on Minister(Defence) Ng Eng Hen, PM Lee Hsien Loong and DPM Heng Swee Keat. Minister Reynolds also visited Sembawang Air Base to take a familiarisation flight on board The Republic of Singapore Air Force Super Puma helicopter. Minister Reynold's visit marks a key milestone as we commemorate the 30th anniversary of the SAF's training in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area this year. Singapore is always appreciative of Australia's long-standing and strong support, and we look forward to many more years of close defence cooperation. 17.01.2022 From 1 October 2020, 1200 hrs (Singapore time), visitors travelling from Australia (excluding Victoria State) can apply for an Air Travel Pass (ATP) for entry into Singapore on or after 8 October 2020. Applicants must have remained in Australia (excluding Victoria State) in the last consecutive 14 days prior to their entry. They will undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport and if the result is negative, they will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapor...e, without a need to serve a Stay-Home Notice (SHN). Prior to travelling to Singapore, visitors from Australia will need to apply for an ATP between 7 and 30 days before their intended date of entry into Singapore. Do note that Australia's border restrictions remain in effect and travellers arriving in Australia must still comply with the prevailing regulations, including serving of quarantine for 14 days. 16.01.2022 Singapore, together fellow ASEAN Member States and five FTA partners Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea, signed the 15-party Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement yesterday. The RCEP represents about 30% of global GDP, a third of the world's population, and is the largest FTA to date. Beyond its economic significance, the RCEP also is an important signal that ASEAN and its key partners remain committed to free and open trade.

14.01.2022 Today, Singapore handed over the rotating Chairmanship of the #ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) to Thailand at the final ACC Heads of Mission Meeting for 2020. Despite the unique challenges brought about by the pandemic, the ACC has managed to have a full and fruitful year keeping up engagements and promoting ASEAN’s interests in Australia.
