15.01.2022 Hi All, Clubs with connections to Schools or with School personnel within their club please ensure your school avails of this great opportunity that will enable Cricket to enhance its school to club transition. Sporting Schools applications for Term 4 are NOW OPEN through till Friday 4th September at 8.00pm.... For those not familiar with the program, Sporting Schools is Australias largest school based sports participation program aimed to help children foster a lifelong interest in sport. This funding presents a fantastic opportunity for your students to participate in a cricket program during Term 4. Depending on the preference of your school, there are two options to consider in regards to a Term 4 cricket program as outlined below - 1. Funding can be used to subsidise the cost of a Cricket NSW staff member coming out to your school to deliver a multi-week program. Cricket NSW has a COVID-19 Safety Plan for school programs in place as per the requirements as an external sports provider. 2. Teachers can deliver a cricket program themselves, with the funding used to purchase new equipment for the school. Cricket NSW can supply our Health PE cricket program resource for teachers to utilise for self-delivery. If youd like any further details regarding Sporting Schools funding please comment below and we can assist.
