16.01.2022 Today is International Nurses Day and comes at a time when nurses around the world are playing an unprecedented role in saving lives while often putting their own health at risk. Amongst our Past Students, we have many wonderful nurses whose career is centred around caring for others. We wish to thank them for their dedication, care and compassion and for being our real life super heroes. You are truly appreciated. We encourage you, in the comments below, to tag a Past Stude...nt who is a nurse or who is currently studying nursing, to show your appreciation. #internationalnursesday #thankyounurses #oursuperheroes

13.01.2022 Dont let the noise of others opinions drown your inner voice. This was the sage advice from our guest speaker and Sion past student, Ophthalmologist Dr Chri...stolyn Rajakulenthiran (Class of 1996), who gave an inspirational speech yesterday at our Top Achievers Assembly. As she reflected on her successful career, she encouraged our students to never stop learning, treat obstacles as opportunities for personal growth and emphasised how important it is to be true to yourself. It was also wonderful to hear from the Class of 2019 Dux, Caitlin Tubb, who spoke about her focus, sacrifice and sheer hard work which allowed her to achieve an outstanding ATAR of 99.4. We wish all students from the Class of 2019 every success in the future and look forward to keeping in touch. #topachievers #classof2019 #academicexcellence #celebratelearning #passionequalssuccess #embracelifeatsion

12.01.2022 Today our Year 10 students were lucky enough to hear about a career within the Australian Defence Force and also hear from a past student, Kerry Holgate (Class of 1977), who shared her personal journey, since leaving Sion, within Victoria Police. A big thank-you to Kerry and to the Defence Force personnel for giving up their time.

01.01.2022 Its Performing Arts Week this week at the College. It was wonderful to bring back past students who have continued their music studies at a tertiary level for an online forum called Music Beyond the Cherry Red Gates. We are very grateful to Chelsea Elder (2019), WAAPA; Merryn Hughes (2018), Melbourne University; Isabelle Welstead (2018), Melbourne University; and Lucy Fitzgerald (2017), Federation University. They answered questions, shared their music experiences past and present, and offered advice to those wishing to take their musical talents beyond their College years. The students were mesmerised and enjoyed every moment.

01.01.2022 It was great to see our most recent graduates from the Class of 2019 back at the College today for a BBQ reunion and a chance to collect their 2019 Yearbook. VCE staff also joined the girls who enjoyed catching up with them about their future plans. So many of our graduates expressed their excitement about starting their tertiary courses. We wish you all the best in your chosen path and we hope you continue to stay in touch with Sion.
