21.01.2022 Students can now register on the IBM Open P-TECH Platform for a FREE Design thinking course and get an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner Certification Badge from IBM. When it comes to preparing students for the changing world of work, Open P-TECH takes the onus off of teachers by offering students tailored, engaging self-paced learning on the emerging technologies and workplace competencies of tomorrow. That does not mean that teachers are bystanders in their students’ learning journeys! Instead, teachers can leverage Open P-TECH's teacher resources to extend and solidify the self-paced student learning through project-based extensions, discussions, and more.

17.01.2022 The COSPAR-K Space STEM Park is set to be full of awe-inspiring interactive activities for everyone who is able to attend COSPAR - K 2021, A Space STEM Event in-person. But if you’re unsure about travelling to Sydney right now, never fear as COSPAR-K TV is here! COSPAR-K is working with partners to create virtual excursions and webinars. The aim is to provide FREE access to everyone interested so they can ask Keynote Speakers questions, spark ideas from our Power Talks and... partake in awesome activities from wherever you are. COSPAR-K TV will be delivered via the NSW Department of Education’s DART Connections in collaboration with the STEM Industry School Partnerships (SISP) program, STEM On Demand platform and the COSPAR-K website. This is exciting and we look forward to bringing you further details very soon. 16.01.2022 Recently the SISP team met with our partners from Ampcontrol as part of an initiative to develop new resources and projects to support teachers delivering the #iSTEM course. Pictured here is Nikyetta Pencheff from SISP, alongside Pierre Gouchier from Restech (a collaboration between the University of Newcastle and Ampcontrol, ResTech is a Research Service Provider). Restech and Ampcontrol recently developed a respirator design for the NSW Government which is now in the final stage of certification! We are very excited about this initiative, so stay tuned... exciting things to come!

Students will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of local female engineers talk about where their career has taken them and what inspired them to choose #engineering as a profession. All registrants will receive a link to access the Virtual #STEM Resource Kit to learn more about the engineering and STEM courses on offer at the University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW, as well as how Engineers Australia can help sup...port you in your journey to becoming a STEM professional.
