21.12.2020 by Adele Rowe Have sent several emails to Sarah Joyce regarding return of over $6,000 plus which she has retained from travel bookings cancelled due to Covid. We have asked for full details of payments made by us and asked for this money to be returned. No response. Beware of this person.

23.01.2022 They’re home!

23.01.2022 Dear Clients, I want to assure you that I’m doing everything I can to support you during these uncertain and difficult times. Many of you have questions; and many I am unable to answer at this stage. As new information comes to light, it will be shared with you as soon as possible. The most relevant information can be found on the WHO or Smartraveller website. Please try and avoid the intense media coverage. If you do have questions about your travel destination, please eithe...r check your airlines' website for up to date information or contact me directly. At this stage, I am prioritising people who are travelling in the next few weeks. Airlines and our other suppliers and partners are currently assessing people travelling before the end of March. Considering this, I do urge you not to cancel or change your plans just yet if your travel doesn’t fall inside this time frame. Sometimes it is better to wait. You are likely to have greater flexibility for cancellations, and more varied options in the event you wish to re-book. If it becomes apparent you do need to cancel or change your plans, I will look after all your arrangements. That’s why you booked with a travel agent I’m also handling many new bookings, however, if you’re travelling later in the year, I may take a little longer to come back to you. I do appreciate your patience if you’re waiting to hear from me. I understand many of you are deferring overseas travel, and of course I support those concerns. Perhaps now is the time to take that trip to Kakadu or visit the newly re-opened Hayman and Daydream Island resorts. The Kimberly beckons, too, as the wet season will soon end. There’s so much to explore in our own backyard! There are also many international destinations, near and far, that remain largely unaffected. Travel agents are more important than ever. We work so hard for you behind the scenes. Most of my time this week has been spent on hold to various suppliers receiving the most up to date information to assist you and help to allay your concerns. In my 15 plus years as a consultant, I have supported my clients through airline collapses, tsunamis, terrorist attacks, Ebola, SARS, swine flu, Bali bombings - to name just a few. The world can be a crazy place at times, but we can't stop travelling and doing what we love. Thank you See more

18.01.2022 COVID-19 FEELS # 1: I’ve decided to post a daily happy feel in the midst of this madness. Here’s my first.. I told a client, who lives locally, I couldn’t buy mince. Just now, she texted saying she was at my front door, and was I home. I was. I went down stairs and was greeted with a kilo of mince. No money exchanged hands. Much love and gratitude to you xx #bekind #helpyourfellows

11.01.2022 An excellent article by Forbes supporting why booking with a travel advisor is paramount. Happy reading Credit must go to my friend Jase S Goldy for forwarding this piece to me. Love your support. https://www.forbes.com//5-reasons-why-you-need-a-travel-/

11.01.2022 The very first, and most auspicious, #sjjourneysau will be hosted by yours truly this year! A few prep pics to get the party started!!

08.01.2022 For the first time in 16 years, I have no unopened emails in my inbox. I can scroll my entire inbox with one spin of that little rolly thing on top of my mouse. I thought this would make me so happy. I thought this would make me feel so in control of my little world. I thought this would make me feel so organised and efficient. I thought wrong. ... I'm so sad to have nothing to respond to. I'm so sad to wake up to no desperate plea for that perfect holiday; for that great airfare deal. I miss the out-of-control days when every call was a passionate request to confirm "that" holiday. When every email was "urgent, I need to book now!". I loved being so busy with questions that rendered me out of control, in the best way. I loved working to deadlines. I loved booking your dreams. Being a travel adviser is more than just a job. It's a lifestyle choice. I feel like a part of me is missing right now. I miss my world. I can't wait to be your Travel Adviser again soon! Love SJJ xx

08.01.2022 It’s been a while, yes. I’m still here although my skills have been required in other areas.. AKA Miss Sarah, the teacher! To say it’s been a challenge doesn’t begin to cover the past few months. Lots of tears, lots of virtual hugs. Lots of cups of tea (or !) and wondering if I can actually do this! Most importantly, I AM HERE! SJJ will survive! I’m so excited to share some wonderful ideas with you during the coming weeks.... Thank you for your well wishes and love during the madness. Your messages of support mean the world to me. Look out... new Journeys are just over the horizon Much love, SJJ

03.01.2022 Like most travel advisers, I have my "go-to" faves and loves. One of these is the Magic Castle Hotel in Los Angeles. It's in a brilliant location, and they'll even do your laundry free of charge! Not to mention they include breakfast, free snacks and they have a Popsicle Hotline for delivery of free icy poles while you lie by the pool! It doesn't get any better, right?! Wrong! There's a link on the homepage of their website where anyone visiting the page can donate to BLAZEAI...D "Help our friends in Australia. Consider making a donation for those impacted by the devastating fires. BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. DONATE TO BLAZEAID" Thank you Magic Castle. We love you and thank you from the bottom of our Down Under hearts

01.01.2022 A snippet of life as a travel advisor... I have clients who went on LSL to Latvia in early Feb. They have dual AU/EU passports. Their dual citizenship is a very important point, which will become apparent should you read on. This trip was 2 years in the making, and a dream I helped come to fruition....Continue reading
