22.01.2022 What a fun weekend out at Queensland Moot - Qld Rovers. We participated in the Super Skills weekend with some of our rovers participating in Level 1 canoeing, abseiling, archery and standup paddle boarding courses! We also learnt all about SDGs, completed service and dressed up as doppelgängers. One of our highlights of the weekend was winning The Paddle, an award for an outstanding crew! It’s a credit to the hard work of our crew and exec to put on a great program.

22.01.2022 Last Wednesday we used the Strava app to write out words on the local streets. We then retired to the den to celebrate the return to in-person scouting with some chocolate cake I wonder what the Rovers will get up to this week?

22.01.2022 Last week we had a ‘Parenting’ night. We deciphered chocolates from nappies, played celebrity heads with famous parents, tasted baby food to guess what was inside, played trivia and tried reaching the hospital without breaking our water. What a fun week! Ps. Hit up the comments for a legendary pool shot by our crew leader Jamie!

22.01.2022 Our Rovers got an amazing haul from Bunnings Warehouse this morning! Our local Keperra Bunnings provided all of these items free so that we can keep upgrading and renovating our den to make it a more welcoming environment! While we only asked for some white paint and a curtain set, Annie was kind enough to throw in some paint brushes, cleaning up rags, tape, paint buckets, lanterns, a games board and a $50 Bunnings gift card. Thankyou Bunnings for everything!

22.01.2022 Today we went on a small ride along the Brisbane river from branch to New Farm and back. We enjoyed the sunset on the way and were amazed to see so many people out and about!

Lucy had the most interesting day and decided to head out to the islands on a tour! She saw a humpback whale fly through air, beautiful fish, gorgeous coral, turtles and the finest sand in the world! She would rate it a 10/10 day. The rest of us explored Airlie Beach for the day relaxing in the sun and then headed out for a sunset hike up the mountain.

15.01.2022 Last week we had a smell run! We met nice and early at the den for a game of pool and then headed out on a chalk-chase style game where we followed some perfume sprays on poles. It was harder than expected but super fun when we finally found the hiders. We finished the evening off back on the pool table.

09.01.2022 Last weekend two of the rovers joined the Scouts on an adventure along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. 09.01.2022 Day 9 of the #roverroadtrip2020 we had an amazing day out at Magnetic Island. We started the day off with a tour from Caitlin (a Townsville Rover) at Castle Hill and then visited the strand for several hours as we accidentally missed the ferry. 08.01.2022 Last week we ran a District Venturer and Rover Trivia Night! We had people come down from Oakleigh and The Gap to have some fun answering some very interesting questions to see who could come out on top. Rather than having a competition between units we instead mixed up the groups to get to know new people! Lots of fun was had and a massive Thankyou goes out to Becky, Jamie, Ainsleigh and Caitlin for organising a great night!

07.01.2022 This week we had a bit of fun with a photo shoot. While our backdrop made photos a bit limiting with size we had a ball with a variety of costumes and poses. What is the most worthless item in your household?... Check out the comments for a sneak peak at one of our winners, for one of our many challenges - write and preform a song about BPs life

01.01.2022 This Wednesday at Rovers was Remembrance Day, where we took a moment to appreciate and remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty, sacrificed themselves for our country and those who have returned from service and are still fighting their own battles. We commemorated by enduring an obstacle course carrying our soldiers via stretchers, taking a moment of reflection about ‘What Remembrance Day and ANZACs Mean to Me,’ then finished the night by making some Poppies! We thank our service men and women past, present and future for their service. Lest We Forget
