25.01.2022 With Christmas and the New Year approaching fast it is a great time to catch up with family and friends. While you are all together it is also a great time to talk about issues such as getting paper work organised. Talk about getting copies of ID certified in case of bush fires, loss of documents, death, sickness etc. Nothing like discussing a Will and Death of a family member around the table to get a heated discussion going!! Get organised for 2020.

These are our go to files in case of an emergency and definitely the first thing to grab with a bushfire or house fire etc. They are very useful and we cannot live without them. They come with 12 compartments for different fili...ng sections - we have motor vehicles, banking, shares, properties, certified copies of documents, insurances, important documents etc. They also come with tabs and labels for you to use and personalise as well as a CD/DVD holder in the back for those photos or copies of documents etc. They are lightweight but hold an incredible amount of important things. 13.01.2022 On Tuesday 8th September, Business Armadale - Chamber of Commerce Women In Business had the pleasure of listening to a wonderful and very frank speech by Joanne... Abbiss. Joanne is the new CEO at the City of Armadale and gave her time to come along to the Pink Deli in Kelmscott to speak to 26 local business women. There were some unbelievable highs and lows in Joannes journey through her career, jobs, studies, family life and awards. We thank her for her time and every single person who attended thanked her personally for sharing her journey. We had a fabulous lunch provided by Kat, Susi and Grace at the Deli and then continued upstairs to the Armadale Hills Open Studio display. This was certainly another highlight and many of the ladies left with some goodies. Thanks to everyone who attended and we look forward to hosting the next successful event very soon. See more

11.01.2022 When this crazy world settles down in the hopefully, not too distant future. We would definitely like to hold some workshops for resumes for those unemployed. We will get a page sorted to register interest for those job seekers. Hopefully we can get in with some employment agencies to help the back log. Stay safe everyone. Sass & Vicki

10.01.2022 While we are all sitting home wondering what to do with ourselves, what about look at your Resume and see what you are qualified to do. We always hear "I dont have any qualifications" It can now be the time to look at RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) You can apply online and send in your work experience and resume and TAFE will allow you to be assessed on your experience. In some cases you may only need to do a few modules within a Cert or a Diploma to become qualified.... You will need your resume, work history and a long list of all the things you can do. For example, if you have been doing administration, accounts payable and receivable and payroll you may already have enough experience and Prior learning to get a Cert 3 or even a Cert 4 in bookkeeping and accounting. Wow, how good would that be. If you have already done some study and modules earlier or some years ago these may also credit you towards other qualifications. 07.01.2022 With so many people house bound at the moment and with the kids at home, it is a great time to do the family budget. Get the kids involved, get them looking up alternative quotes on-line for you. Look at menu planning and the cost of groceries. A great project is looking at the online catalogues and menu planning with the kids and costing the meals out. Get them to help you add up all the costs and expenses in the house. It will give some kids a real perspective of the c...osts involved in running a house, what bills need to be paid and how much groceries and individual items cost. Some teenagers leave school and do not understand the concept of interest, mortgage, health cover, necessary items and what an actual budget is. Spend some down time wisely. If you get stuck we have some great workbooks that can help out. They have a budget, all the information you need to have such as bank account numbers, medicare details, where all of your paper work is, where all of your shares and investments are, what insurance policies you have and superannuation. They are great books and will certainly help out in an emergency and with the kids schooling. If you are smart and your kids (like everyone elses) know everything now is a good time to prove they dont haha. See more
