25.01.2022 Today we added a trampoline to our backyard play environment Amelia was more than happy to test it out before the daycare kiddies come back on Monday

24.01.2022 We enjoyed playing in some rainbow foam for some Sensory play yesterday. This was the first time we had made rainbow foam, but it will definitely not be the last. By the end of the activity all of the colours had been swirled around together and the children told me that it was the same colour as Coke . All you need to do to create this beautiful, colourful, engaging sensory activity is to add the following into a bowl. *Dishwashing liquid ... *Water *Food colouring Using either electric beaters or a whisk to mix the ingredients around to create the foam bubbles before pouring them onto your prepared table or even leave it in the bowl for them to dip there hands in and out of. Thats it! So simple, but will provide hours of fun for your little one. It also smelt divine

23.01.2022 We were all very excited to come outside this morning to see our 1st sunflower has opened up and the second one not too far behind. Seeing our sunflowers out in bloom instantly brought smiles to our faces and brighten up our morning just that little bit more

22.01.2022 I was very happy to see the sun shining this morning to dry things out and to also top up our much loved sandpit with some fresh new sand. All ready for another week of fun.

22.01.2022 After all of the rain we have received in the last few days, I thought that it would be fun to set up a little Incy Wincy Spider invitation to play table outside for us to enjoy in the sunshine today. We enjoyed using PVC piping, connectors and black Incy Spiders to re-create our very own Incy Wincy Spider story. As the children played, I would walk by them and casually hum or sing The Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout. This encouraged them to sing along with me while busily still engaging in the activity.

18.01.2022 Coloured Shaving Cream, cooking utensils (even though they preferred to scoop and mix with there little hands), cupcake tins and a bowl of water, made for a perfect little cake making station in our sandpit today. I was definitely treated to a variety of different flavoured cakes this morning for morning tea yum, yum.

17.01.2022 Our gravel pit is all ready for the children to enjoy. I have also added in our beautiful wooden Grimms resources for the children to incorporate into there play this week

17.01.2022 Our favourite science experiment that we never get bored of doing- Baking Soda & Vinegar. We have done this experiment many times before but this time we focused on learning colours. We worked on colour mixing, experimentation and more. There were a lot of conversations between the children about the colours they were making by mixing the colours together and also swapping of ice cube trays to try and create a rainbow pattern in each tray.

12.01.2022 We brush our teeth chh chh chh chh This week we are focusing our learning around, Dental Health as one of our little friends in care doesnt like brushing their teeth for mummy and daddy. Today we practiced our brushing technique on these laminated teeth that I drew some cavities and germs on. Using our toothbrush we gently brushed the germs off the teeth until they were sparkly clean. ... This group activity was also followed on by watching a video on YouTube about how we brush our teeth

10.01.2022 With the Coronavirus restrictions being lifted, a few of my families have been visiting our beautiful local beaches on their weekends As the scheme I am under is still not allowing excursions just yet, I have brought the beach into our environment for the children to enjoy this week. As soon as it is safe for us to venture out into the public again, we will definitely be heading to the beach to enjoy some fresh sea breeze and a play on the Turtle Park together.

05.01.2022 When I say to my husband, lets go to Bunnings for a look, he instantly looks at me as if to say...what am I making for you today he knows me all too well. Today we chopped up some bamboo sticks to create our very own bamboo building blocks. I can see these being used to make a variety of different towers along with our other timber blocks and also for loose parts play and small world play

01.01.2022 Today I used my Thermomix for the 1st time to make 2 batches of playdough. So much easier, and they both turned out perfect The Blue playdough will be used as an extension to our trip to the beach last week and the Green playdough will be used for our insect theme this week.
