We can appreciate that our methods of contact tracing are a bit more vigorous and there may be a learning curve as well as being time consuming Your patience means the world to us ... . WE HAVE DECIDED TO TEMPORARILY STOP TAKING KEEP-CUPS AT THE CAFE With the few recent cases in the Southside, we dont want to introduce any unnecessary risks . Otherwise, there have been no other changes. We continue to use COVID-SAFE quaternary ammonium disinfectants on all non-food surfaces. Everything else is sanitized in our dishwasher at high temperatures. There continues to be no communal items such as sugar, menus, salt, pepper and water bottles. 21.01.2022 WEVE HEARD YOU . Weve received your emails, texts and phone calls asking to dine in and we will be TRIALLING it later this week. We hope that you will be patient and forgiving with us during this time as it is a difficult transition for us To share some insight, we admit that we are apprehensive into moving back into dine-in at Little Black Pug for numerous reasons 1) The layout of our cafe into two separate sections makes it hard to optimise for both dine-in and take...away food and service . 2) We still have a lot of produce and gear for our current takeaway menu that we need to use up as we care for waste reduction and sustainability . We also care about the LBP EXPERIENCE and several of our menu items dont really translate well as dine-in items (i.e. toasties and wraps). Therefore, we will be altering our current menu to adjust for dine-in (menu will be released tomorrow) 3) Government restrictions (as well are our own protocols) have added a number of processes including a need for a regular bookings schedule for 10 patrons, taking down details of customers for traceability , asking customers to sanitise their hands , setting limits on length of dining period, scrub down of tables and chairs between seatings, monitoring the safety of everyone and turning away customers that appear to be unwell (as well as other unmentioned factors) Please understand that at this time, we cannot offer the PERFECT experience with these bottlenecks, but we will try our best in making each and every one of you happy and safe . Currently, we continue to recommend our customers call ahead 0491 084 771 to book, both to avoid disappointment (especially on the weekend) and to ensure we can provide enough space for physical distancing (for those who are waiting to be seated and ordering takeaway, as well as dine-in customers). The Nacho Imposter was created one day when I was cooking breakfast for hubby Josh at home when we were both working as full time scientists. I liked to play with food and wanted to create a corn fritter that wasnt like a pancake . The criteria would be that they would be crunchy and crispy and flavoursome morsels. When we paired it with guacamole, sour cream and... other fresh ingredients, it just clicked: it tasted like Nachos for breakfast! Moreover, it was vegetarian, gluten free and NOT DOUGHY PANCAKES .
