11.01.2022 A caution to all business owners - particularly catering businesses. We received an order to cater for 80 people at $20 per head. Being informed that he is currently overseas and he would like to organise a party for his wife who had surgery recently. He went on about paying the lot through his credit card, he then starts to ask for a favour as he is given us his credit card details but asking us to withdraw an amount of $4,350 for his party organiser as well (given a total o...f $5950). We then have decided to inform him that we would like this matter deal in person (we can wait for him to come back from overseas) - then we heard nothing from him. We also specially informed him that our banking system is strict - we do not withdraw any funds from a credit card by email nor phone. We have EFTPOS facility but matter has to be deal in person.
