15.01.2022 Rejuvenating a giant Rhamnus alaternus (Mediterranean Blackthorn) ball. The lack of proper maintenance has meant that this ones ended up with a scraggly south face. It’s been cut back to encourage some new growth to fill it back out, and will get another prune in late spring and late summer to help give it its dense form again.

14.01.2022 Some pruning and form restoration of pear and peach trees this morning. The pear should now keep its form with regular pruning while the peach will need a few seasons of work to gradually bring the size down without loosing fruit viability for the owners.

02.01.2022 Cleaning up and restoring another jumbo hedge. The top has been cleared out to encourage ew growth and a better spread. It’ll get a second trimming in about two months to help with uniformity and by next year there should be enough up top to create a crisp edge. All hand tools to ensure the cuts are made in all the right places with minimal damage.
