24.01.2022 Sugary drinks and sugary food the biggest contributor to tooth decay in children.

24.01.2022 Another reason to cut your salt consumption. Often people say to me "but I don't add salt to my food" thinking that is sufficient but unfortunately the bulk of salt we consume actually comes from the processed food we eat ie bread, breakfast cereals and cereal products, processed meats, soups, sauces and spreads. One of the ways to get round this is to eat a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

20.01.2022 We need to follow the UK's lead on this which not only includes changes to checkouts but also a ban on celebrity endorsements of unhealthy food, fatty food adverts near schools, and junk food marketing to those aged under 15 on social media.

04.01.2022 The school year is just about to begin. This is a perfect time for early learning centres (Daycare Centres, Kindergartens etc) to incorporate kids nutrition into their calendars for the year. Our popular Kids Nutrition session runs for an hour and the kids love it. It aims to make kids think about food as something more than just filling their bellies. It starts them thinking about food in a different way because food helps their bodies grow and develop and different food do different things. If you haven't seen us at a Centre you use talk to them about our program - they can contact us or we can contact them.

01.01.2022 The faces of todays kids nutrition session run as part of the Toowoomba Regional Council's Change Project. What did they like the best - here is what they said: "Making food", "Activity sheets"," Colouring in", and "Making Stuff".
