25.01.2022 Please dont forget the homeless!

24.01.2022 If 60% of voters think building affordable housing is a top priority in the upcoming Budget , there are no excuses for the Government to not invest in housing Australians during this terrible crisis. #BuildSocialHousing #EverybodysHome

24.01.2022 Just not good enough, I don't understand why all levels of government aren't more committed to solving this problem!

23.01.2022 Looking for support could you please sign the petition!

19.01.2022 It's on again... Calcutta Tickets available soon :-)

19.01.2022 Currently, more than 330,000 single women over the age of 45 are living in a state of economic distress that is, spending more than 30 per cent of their gross income just keeping a roof over their heads.... a deplorable situation in a country as wealthy as ours! https://www.smh.com.au//having-to-ask-for-somewhere-to-liv?

19.01.2022 Our new website is complete :-) https://www.smartlivingsocietylimited.org/

16.01.2022 Great story on Radio National today about a letter signed by more than 300 organisations from a range of sectors calling on the Morrison Government to invest in building 30,000 social housing dwellings in the next 4 years.

15.01.2022 Good thinking... tell your local representatives!

14.01.2022 Prior to the bushfires and corona virus there were 116K+ homeless people in Australia. The bushfire relief effort sucked much of the funding out of a large number of varied and vital charities in Australia. Now the efforts on behalf of bushfire victims is fully justified and the publics response was fantastic. With all levels of government sending us into an enormous level of public debt what will happen to the largely forgotten homeless in our society. One would assume th...at the current level will grow dramatically. Lets hope our governments fix the problem for all those who are homeless including those that existed prior to both these disastrous events. The directors of Smart Living realise the fulfilment of their vision will be put back due to the Australian communities current problems however, they are not giving up. If you do happen to have some money to donate Smart Living is a public benevolent institution with full DGR1 status and donations of $2.00 or over are tax deductible.

13.01.2022 Something to be considered in the future as we develop! https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/publicatio/social-prescribing

13.01.2022 What a nasty attitude this little man has. He needs to be removed from his portfolio now! https://www.theguardian.com//community-housing-minister-lu

12.01.2022 With all the social isolation; there may never be a better time and or opportunity to enter a photo in this great local Rotary Club of Maleny photographic competition

11.01.2022 We need more social housing, now is the time! *clic pic for better view

11.01.2022 This guy would be a good founding member for our planned "Cockatoo Disruption Group". Break down the fences to providing homes for the homeless - the current low cost housing system is broken!

11.01.2022 Exactly ...and it is not just the elderly. We need to house our locals in local facilities! #smartlivingsociety

10.01.2022 Dysfunctional system and bound to get worse!

10.01.2022 Useless governments...!

10.01.2022 Some think us older individuals are just a costly nuisance and once aged care facilities and retirement villages have sucked up all our accumulated wealth we should just shuffle off to our grave. Think I am being a bit over dramatic, the pressure on age based health care is building. see these articles: https://www.scu.edu//res/aged-based-health-care-rationing/ Then theres these as well: https://cbhd.org/content/age-based-rationing-health-care-0 and: https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-is-healthcare-rationing and: https://scholars.unh.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi

09.01.2022 A very poor state of affairs...!

08.01.2022 How fast time goes by and how small turns and experiences can create such a big effect on our lives!

08.01.2022 Perhaps a small step in the right direction?

07.01.2022 Our older generation are getting ripped off. The system is broken, shame on our politicians and regulators for not legislating to stop this crime.

07.01.2022 All levels of government in Australia need to adopt this approach! https://au.finance.yahoo.com//how-finland-wales-are-fighti

07.01.2022 Please don't forget the homeless!

04.01.2022 A lesson for us all!

04.01.2022 We need more affordable housing and our politicians are resisting...why?

03.01.2022 Something for us to consider if we want to be the best we can be and attract the funds we need: https://insight.kellogg.northwestern.edu//nonprofits-most-

01.01.2022 If we work together we could quickly be on our way to housing those in urgent need and getting people into safe and decent homes. Lets get our governments to rise to the challenge. Join us at Everybodys Home and help raise our voice https://everybodyshome.com.au/take-action/.

01.01.2022 Yeah, Yeah... building new sporting venues and community facilities is fine and keeps the tradies in work, however why not build some social housing or fund charities that will? #smartlivingsociety #homelessness https://everybodyshome.com.au/email-josh-frydenberg/

01.01.2022 Still no REAL progress from our Governments at all levels!
