19.01.2022 SMGT and VECCI Apprenticeships Services Try a Trade Day was held on Friday May 31, 2013. This event now in its seventh year attracted over 600 students from 14 secondary schools. The day was a great success and I would like to thank our Host Employers, apprentices and trainees for conducting trade activities for the students to undertake. I am looking for the 2014 event to be even bigger.

14.01.2022 Visited Waikerie High School, Waikerie, Riverland, SA last week to present the AAAP Construction to Year 11 students. In all I spoke to approximately 70 students about bricklaying, carpentry and plumbing trades. The feedback on the presentation from teachers and students was that the content was informative and the presentation was well received. Looking forward to travelling back to the Riverland to present the AAAP Construction at Loxton High School Loxton at a date to be advised in semester two.

The Commonwealth Government have extended the Apprentice Kickstart Initiative to employers to employ an apprentice in Building & Construction Occupations including Bricklaying, Carpentry and Plumbing.
