25.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day

25.01.2022 Happy Easter to all. Stay home, stay safe and take care of yourselves We are closed for the Easter break and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday. Thank you once again for your support of Smile Centre and our team throughout this time. Better days are coming!

24.01.2022 It is Dental Health Week, and over the next few days, we have 4 key messages for you, all things dental. Tip 1 - First up, remember to brush twice a day with f...luoride toothpaste. Did you know 53% of Australians only brush once a day? Lets keep that smile healthy and clean and make it twice daily! To read more about Dental Health Week head to the ADA website! https://buff.ly/2CUXdFJ

23.01.2022 Is it time to replace your toothbrush?? Our dentists and hygienists recommend using a soft toothbrush to protect your teeth while brushing :)

21.01.2022 Were back! Were very pleased to announce the government eased the restrictions on dental practices as of 27 April 2020, so this means we can now perform your hygiene cleans and dentists will be able to do some additional procedures. We will not be back to full service, but this is definitely a step in the right direction and our team is so excited to be back in the practice and able to care of you. The hygienists will be performing hand scaling/cleans (not using the den...tal chair instruments). This will provide a good clean and it will mean we can do a second clean later in the year when restrictions are lifted and youll still be covered by your health fund (if you are covered for two cleans per year by your health insurer). If we rescheduled an appointment for you due to the restrictions, we will be in contact again soon. If you have any questions regarding an appointment, please feel free to call us on 08 8251 2999. Thank you again for your support during this time. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

09.01.2022 Happy Monday! It wont be a short day for us, but it will be a good day! :) Were open until 8pm today - 8251 2999.

09.01.2022 LIKE if you eat breakfast first COMMENT if you brush first In general it is totally up to you, however, it is advised that if you decide to brush after breakfast that you wait a bit before doing so as certain foods can wear down enamel. So if you brush right away you could damage your teeth

08.01.2022 Are your health benefits expiring at the end of the year? If youve been putting off dental treatment, now is the time to do it! Were booking out quickly for December, so give us a call today on 08 8251 2999.

08.01.2022 Put your mind at ease as we dispel three common myths about root canals: Myth 1: Root canal treatment is painful. Decades ago that may have been the case, but with modern technology and anesthetics you wont experience any more pain than if you went to have a cavity filled. The pain from a severe toothache, often caused by damaged tissues in the tooth, can be easily remedied when a dentist removes the damaged tissue through root canal treatment. ... Myth 2: Root canal treatment causes illness. Information you may find on the Internet or elsewhere, claiming that if you receive a root canal treatment youre more likely to become ill or contract a disease in the future simply isnt true. This false claim was based on long-debunked and poorly designed research conducted nearly a century ago, long before modern medicine understood the causes of many diseases. There is no valid, scientific evidence linking root canal treatment to disease elsewhere in the body. Myth 3: Its better to pull a tooth than have root canal treatment. Saving your natural teeth, if possible, is always the best option. Endodontic treatment has a high success rate and many root canal-treated teeth last a lifetime.

07.01.2022 A message to our valued patients regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). The coronavirus is causing unprecedented challenges for not only our healthcare system, but our entire country (and the rest of the world). Being a dental practice, we already practice stringent infection control measures within our practice. Given the current situation, we are taking additional precautions to ensure our patients and staff remain safe. ... Despite the worldwide mask shortage, our staff have adequate supply and are all wearing masks, gloves and have hand sanitiser available. We are continuing to operate as per our normal hours. However to ensure this continues, we are asking all patients to advise us if they have travelled overseas in the last 14 days or if they have been in contact with anyone who has had COVID-19. Additionally, if you have symptoms of COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment until you have been tested and are feeling better. We do not want to add to the panic this virus is causing, but we do want to ensure we are doing our part to protect our staff, patients and our community. Thank you for your continued support.
